Question for you?

So I ended up in a discussion with Device Heretic the other day in his blog that he has since deleted. I claimed I could rewrite my story so it wasn't a HiE but something else in Equestria. The question that I ask you since you who follow the story like it, do you think I should? It wouldn't be to difficult for me but I figured I would ask ya'll. I know how I would do it and not much would change other than a few small references and the first three or so chapters when dealing with Steel's origins.

I might as well tell you how I would change it.

I would do this by adding a third dimension to the mix. Steels home dimension, Not Human, has been observing ours, he has been trained, conditioned, and equipped for the past ten years on how to operate in ours. He is the first extra-dimensional explorer from his world and something goes wrong and he ends up in the pony-verse.
