Movie Ideas: The Cloud · 7:51pm Jul 26th, 2015

Now I love movies and video games. And since I trust this community enough I figured I'd share a few ideas of what movies I'd make given the budget, power and occasionally rights. Because we all have great ideas of what we'd do with a pre-established franchise.

This first idea I call the cloud. And no before you start freaking out citizens of the internet it's not a Glow-cloud... although four deaths have already been attributed to it (but listen it's probably nothing).

The idea for the Cloud starts off as a simple sort of spy thriller. Sarah is a early 30's(ish) programmer working for the private military contractor CenTech on a new piece of software along with four other people. They get along they have playful bants that sort of thing... did I just use freaking bants unironically? :applejackconfused:

(Ahem) Anyway, they're working on this software called The Cloud for the military when one of their co-workers disappears. It's at this point we're introduced to the villains of the piece. A small group of what appear to be mercenaries trying to kill and wipe out the software designers. One of them comes after Sarah and she's saved by a mysterious man called Arnold T. Hunter. Hunter kills the mercanary and tells her he's from the CIA and has been chasing these people down for a while. That they've come to destroy all her work and The Cloud.

Sarah quickly becomes the last of the designers left alive. One of the mercenaries attempts to get to her through her infant son. Hunter kills them and prompts Sarah to keep the baby close at all times from that moment on. Throughout all of this, Hunter has demonstrated impressive marksmanship and lethal efficiency, despite Sarah's requests to have one of the mercenaries interrogate for their motives. Hunter ignores her demands and escorts her to CenTech headquarters to finish work on The Cloud, reasoning she'll be more useful to them alive than dead if The Cloud is completed and operational.

Hunter protects her whilst she activates the Cloud. The Police arrive as the last of mercenaries collapses in front of the main servers, defeated.

At the police station the tension is still mounting. Hunter has changed since The Cloud was put on-line. The mercenary remains silent whilst interrogated. He eventually tells the police that his name is Kyle and doesn't have a last name.

Hunter has reverted to his old self and begins asking questions about the safety of the Cloud now it's active. As Sarah answers, Hunter questions how old her baby John is. This causes Sarah to pause as she never told Hunter John's name as downstairs, Kyle manages to escape captivity, leaving all police incapacitated but alive.

Hunter says to Sarah: 'Miss Conner... your usefulness to our cause has been, terminated.'

And that's all I've got so far...
