I'm currently experimenting with the latest chapter right now. Editor won't be back for at least a week. He's going on vacation with idfk so I asked him to look over this. Aside from the kaomoji emoticon, everything seems fine for an introduction after a long hiatus so I'm posting this now so you guys know what to expect. Maybe talk about the chapter a little and what could it potentially have? Who knows, you might inspire me to include something. Ideas would be appreciated. Anyway just go ahead and click to read below! It's pretty damn short but I hope you'll get some enjoyment out of it.

Sure she was reluctant after that run-in with that hacker, but he wasn’t enough to put a downer on her gaming mood.
As she reached over next to the computer where she kept her virtual gaming gear, she noticed a peculiar notice on her screen. “Huh? A new update?”
As she watched the words go by, she reeled back in shock as she saw the number on screen, shouting, “Oh wow! Spike, come over here!”
Moments later, she heard the sound of padded feet climbing up the stairs behind her. “What’s up, Twilight? Having computer issues?”
Twilight looked over to see Spike walking up to her. “No, but Equestrian Earth is receiving a huge update. Look.”
Spike craned his head up towards the elevated table the computer sat upon before dragging a chair next to it. He pulled himself onto the chair before looking at the screen. He shrugged. “Well I’ve seen way bigger.”
“But you know what that means, right?” Twilight asked, her grin wide and eyes sparkling.
“Yeah I know. New content,” Spike said, who was attempting to fight the smile growing on his face. It was a failed attempt. “Although I got to say it’s a little surprising they’ve already got a big update like this after a couple weeks. Makes you wonder just how much added content there really is.”
“Well I’m willing to bet a lot!” Twilight lightly clapped her hooves together as she watched the loading bar fill faster and faster.
“Dang you really paid for great internet service”
Twilight chuckled a bit. “Well it’s less paying the internet providers and more simple ingenuity.”
“What do you mean?”
“I may or may not have experimented with the router; Made its connection a little more stable as well as enhancing the other end of the connection.”
“What? How does that even make sense!? I mean, how did you… never mind, I kinda don’t wanna know.”
“Oh don’t worry too much, Spike. I was just practicing an application of magic to technology. I did it just for a test like this. I’ll change it back and nopony won’t know it ever happened.”
“Lemme guess, was it for science?”
“Isn’t it always?” she winked as she carried the virtual reality gear to her bed. She strapped on the equipment and rested her head down on the pillow. Spike, likewise, made himself comfortable in his basket. As she made herself comfy under the sheets, she said, “See you on the other side, Spike.”
“Yep. Good night,” he said.
“And good morning, Equestrian Earth,” Twilight said as she flicked on the visor’s switch, and across the screen in front of her eyes reads ‘Welcome Back, MagiAdept. Equestrian Earth v1.1.00 Awaits You.’

I'm liking this new format, by the way! It's very distinctive and cool!
Not bad at all. I like the way you sectioned off the downloading screen and the conversation between Twilight and Spike. It makes the story a little more unique, at least to me

Ha. Terraria can fit over 800+ new items in just 25 mb. But yes you're right about new items and stuff included with this certain patch. What kind of items, I haven't thought of yet.
