Sorry for not being around at all since the last blog but I come bearing news that for some of you will hopefully be good.

I'm sure at least some of you will have heard of this new art pack in development - Saddle Up 2! Creature Comforts. Yes, it's related to the first one that was quite well known, yes it's also been orchestrated by Braeburned again, yes it features lots of lovely gay pones getting into gay shenanigans. But there's a twist and that's where the Creature Comforts bit comes in.

Equestria isn't a land populated only by ponies. We've seen diamond dogs, buffalo, deer (in the comics), Ahuizotl, Steven Magnet, the monsters of the Everfree like timberwolves, changelings, gryphons and on the list goes. They're generally eschewed in fiction (except for popular types like changelings) and moreso when it comes to clopfiction, so why not try something new? Hence, the theme of the pack being the above creatures and others. There'll still be pones, of course, for those who enjoy that too.

So why the blogpost about it? My reasons aren't really altruistic, I am one of the writers involved in it.

Those of you who remember the first pack may remember that it was solely art. Nothing wrong with that, of course, but for this one Braeburned decided to bring in some writers to provide written content as well. "And who are these writers?" I hear you plead.

Myself, Marshal Twilight, Evil Betty, Bad_Seed_72 and CreepyPony.

I'd like to take a moment to highlight two of those names because they're not as well known as Marshal and Bad - CreepyPony and Evil Betty. I'm afraid I can't comment too much on Creepy's writing but from what I have seen, it's very nice so please do give them a look outside of all this.
Evil Betty specialises in mind control/hypnosis type fics and as someone for whom those kinks don't do anything, I've found their fics both intriguing and well written. Again, if you've time and even if they aren't kinks your into, give Betty's writing a read.

Getting back to the pack, there'll be a Basic (free) version with a wealth of content but a donation of $5 or anything higher will net you the Deluxe which has some lovely extra goodies from both the writers and artists. Now, I feel I must stress that there really is a lot in the Basic version so don't feel put off if you can't lay your hands on the Deluxe.

As with some other writers, my own contribution is a one-shot in the free version of the pack and an extra chapter in the Deluxe. As with others, the free version one-shot will be posted on Fimfiction shortly after the release but please do go and give the pack a gander because there's sure to be something there you'll like. And while you're at it, send a few kind words onto the artists and other writers.

The pack is being released later today so keep an eye or two out for it!
