Story #11: Family Secrets · 6:08pm Jul 20th, 2015
Okay, so originally I didn't really plan on writing this story. Like the Las Pegasus event it was only really meant to be something referred to in passing by the last story in the secret agent Scootaloo line. But after the requests for a sequel for In Another Pony's hooves I realized that this story wouldn't be so hard to flesh out into an actual story.
Overall I like how it came out. But that said I don't think it's as good as In another Pony's Hooves.
Probably because that one had a better balance by going between the secret agent stuff and the normal life stuff, but it's kinda hard to balance those two sides of Scoots' life while also dragging her friends into the action.
Also it occurred to me that the last story in the Scootaloo secret agent line never really explained what her dad's secrets where.
And finally let me say, wow was the episode 'do princesses dream of magic sheep' timely. I spent a fair amount of time looking for a base screenshot of the crusaders in the dark, with Scootaloo in the lead. I was about to give up and settle for something I considered far less appropriate and then bam here's the crusaders at night with Scootaloo in the lead. Thank you show!
