DC: Ben Affleck to direct solo Batman film, and co-write screenplay with Geoff Johns · 12:18am Jul 10th, 2015
Apparently, according to Deadline, Ben Affleck will not only star as Batman in the upcoming solo film, he'll also co-write it with Geoff Johns, and direct it.
I for one, have great confidence in Affleck's directorial and writing skills, as Argo was an amazing film, and he should have TOTALLY won Best Director. He also won an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for Good Will Hunting back in '97, which was co-written by Matt Damon.
So yes, color me impressed, and hopeful for things to come.
Ben's an excellent screenplay writer, no doubt about that.
Should be fun to see what he comes up with.

Well, Geoff John is a good writer, so I'll trust them to write a Good Batman movie. So long as it's not an origin story. Nothing against them, you can only have batman morn his parents so many time before the the audience yells "ENOUGH ALREADY".
3224241 apparently Batman has been Batman for quite some time already, so we might be lucky
