New Chapter, Thoughts

New chapter is done, and the former Prince Blueblood is out of the way.

For now, at least...

*Ahem*

Yes, I know, it's pandering to some of the tripe that's been out there for years. Then again, so is all the Blueblood-bashing that goes on.

Seriously, people; he was in ONE episode.

This was my way of giving the poor stallion a break- though I did my fair share of bashing too.

In any case, this won't be the last politically-themed chapter you'll see. I have a problem in that I need to establish such things without characters essentially stating things that they already know. The best way to do that is either out of the mouths of babes, or the muzzle of a pansy.

Blueblood is perfect for the job. He's an idiot though, and the losses he's going to suffer is more than enough punishment. Being banished from your home for a year will do that.

Next chapter will explore more on what precisely is happening to Rainbow Dash. Yeah, we already know, since she started out as one in PSDAL. Keep in mind, you all know the destination.

I'll be placing update notices for this fic here. A little bit on what went into the chapter, things like that. Oh, don't expect Blueblood to not still cause problems. I'm not done with him yet, just that he's no longer an enemy.

Update: I know I promised that there won't be any more Blueblood for awhile; however, the ponce just won't go away. At least this time he's trying to help...

Update: Made a few minor changes to chapter two. Had some issues with proper names- a paragraph there had one of my OC's talking about a pony without naming her -and some run-on paragraphs. I try to limit paragraphs to no more than eight sentences, though sometimes longer ones can't be helped. I've thought about using open quotation marks whenever a character is talking so much that I need two paragraphs. However, I was taught differently; a character speaking should always have closed marks. If you have to split their words up into more than one paragraph, you still need to close prior sentences. I know that whenever I see open quotations like that, I get confused. So I'm not doing something that confuses me because it looks like poor punctuation.

Anyway, that's all for now. Working on the- as yet unnamed -fourth chapter. Should have it ready here soon, as it will finally answer the question of what's been happening to Rainbow Dash.

Update: Last chapter for this fic for awhile. Now you know what's happening to Rainbow. And this links to Rainbow and Twilight's way of hiding themselves.

If you're all wondering why I was deliberately mean to both Diamond Tiara and her father, let me explain something. It'll only take three words.

I despise bullying.

More than that, I absolutely abhor rich bullies, as the only thing that protects them is their wealth. Diamond got her just deserts, since she decided not to listen to Miss Cheerilee and leave those fillies alone.

One more thing. There are some scenes that fit into this chapter. However, I don't know how long they'll make this one, so I'm gonna write them in a separate document. Once I get the word count, I'll put the scenes where they need to go. I really don't want to go over 10,000 words. But that's not a hard and fast rule, as I'm not a minimalist writer by any means.

As you all probably saw, I added another scene. It would have either fit into the next chapter, or the end of this one. However, the next few chapters are likely to be shorter, as the adventure bids fair to pick up in pace.
