To celebrate the upcoming release of The New Life of a Winning Pony I'm launching another Winningverse/Cloud Kicker writing event. So, for the next two months, I'd like to open up submissions for...
Cloud Kicker shipfics. Who are we shipping Cloud with?
ALL the ponies!
Yup, I'd like to see fics shipping Cloud with ... well, anypony under the sun. After all, she has a reputation to maintain. The only real restriction is that the pairing and content shouldn't be anything grossly inappropriate. We want fun, goofy, sexy, and/or heartfelt Cloud Kicker shenanigans. Feel free to use or ignore Winning Pony canon as suits your story; heck, you can even do an EQG-verse Cloud Kicker shipfic.
Also, try to keep the pairings spread around a bit. I don't mind more than one fic matching Cloud up with the same pony so long as they're both good, but it would be a shame if the event only produced a dozen Cloud/Granny Smith fics with no love for any other pairing. Cloud does like to get around, after all.
At the end of the event (Sept 1), whatever I decide is the best fic will get some special recognition.
Who are we NOT shipping her with?! And with Twilight and her time travel, she could even hook up with Shadow Kicker herself!
Tirek is in the middle of exchanging Twilight's friends for all the magic when an inebriated Cloud Kicker walks up to Tirek and asks "You want to bang handsome he he because you got hands?" To which Tirek accepts.

1) can we submit already written stories?
2) Does the main story line has to be the romance, or could it be something that happens along the way of other stuff?

The goal of this is to get new stories out there, not promote existing ones (though I do like your take on human Cloud).
So long as the shipping/pairup happens, there can plenty of other elements to it. After all, there are plenty of ways two characters can build up a rapport.

3196589 - Sorry for being a pest, but I'd like to get this right. What do you deem to be a 'Good OC'? Everyone seems to have their own viewpoints so what might yours be?
I would love to participate but can't, so I'll just throw my idea out to anyone who wants it. Cloud Kicker discovers the mirror pool, and thus ships herself with everyone at the same time!

Yes, but as stated in the blog post submissions don't have to be WinningCanon compliant if that would get in the way of the story you want to tell.

Nothing beyond the usual requirements (reasonably fleshed and interesting character, not a self-insert/mary sue, etc).
For the sake of completeness, one must ask what -- if any -- limits are being placed on length; similarly, seems prudent to ask to what extent the ship itself should be be focus, e.g. an adventure tale where the two protagonists are Cloud and shipped-with-pony where that rapport and relationship is evident to any degree.

No limits on length beyond "Long enough to tell a good story, not so long that the story bogs down."
I'd say the ship should probably be at least on the "Action movie romantic sub-plot" level. It need not be the primary focus, but there should be some relationship building over the course of the story and a clear-hook up by the end of it.

Cloud and Luna touched the incest line (Shadow x Celestia) that even made Cloud herself cringe when she thought about it. I don't know if it's actually one of Cloud's rules (that she breaks anyway), but I think she might have a hard time banging family that she knows beyond a doubt is actually family. Sunbeam Sparkle or Midnight Sparkle on the other hand would probably have to watch out. Phoenix Empress Sunbeam Sparkle... whoo boy...

Beside, can you really say it's incest when you talk about an ancestor that lived over six hundred years ago? Cloud is probably more closely related to any random Cloudsdale pegasus. Specially since Shador's daughter, Gale, was in fact adopted.

Not much beyond the usual moral compunctions and what's in her rules, plus not being interested in total jerks or otherwise just plain unpleasant individuals.
Just one question to clarify something. I know you said that playing fast-and-loose with Winningverse canon is acceptable, but what about taking place in alternate canons where the depiction of CK is based off of yours? Trinary's, for example. I'm just asking because I already had plans to ship CK with one of my version of the Mane 6, and was wondering if it would be acceptable to kill two birds with one stone by submitting something that's canon with my other stories?

I can't write worth beans but I really want to see Cloud x Luna. We got a small sample of potential Cloud x Luna in the first life and times. It must be done... for science!
... I think we're going to see the story about why Cloud Kicker now has rules against Diamond Dogs now.
So, I was wondering if there's going to be a follow-up to this? I'm curious about when we'll get to see all the entries.
