Synopsis: When Twilight Sparkle traveled through time to stop Starlight Glimmer, she had no idea of the wider consequences of their actions. By trying to restore her old world, she was also wiping away the new ones that Starlight's changes to the past had created. Now, the last remnants of those destroyed worlds have come for revenge.

Hoo boy. The fact that Twilight's harboring Starlight is not going to help. Not sure what impact Dash and Rarity seeing their living analogues will have. Getting Rising's into place will be tricky logistically, to say nothing of getting her to recognize herself as such.

Rising Fire is a lich. They are notoriously hard to kill. Rainbow Dash is a revenant, and those are straight up impossible to kill until their vengeance is satisfied. Everything else was replaceable.
I do hope that some of those other timelines show up though.
I am surprisingly okay with this.

Eh, traditionally in folklore revenants were capable of being permanently put down by a variety of methods such as destroying their corpses in their graves, by removing their hearts and destroying said heart before burning the body or removing their heads and and hearts then throwing holy water on the corpse depending on the region.
They weren't somehow unstoppable its just the methods for permanently punting them down was rather gruesome.
And of course in a number of fantasy books the method to them I can recall reverents being dealt with by dismembering the body which would usually continue to keep moving even when dismembered then burning the remains.

This is what I get for not reading enough. STILL, point stands. Very hard to permanently destroy. And since Rarity would have still been on the other side of the portal in Blood and Iron, so she likely would have been able to recover Rainbow's remains.
I'm not all that attached to the show itself. Dont get me wrong i like it. It's the community and what they can create that I love so much. Mlp brought out so much creativity in alot of people. I LOVE THIS COMUNITY! I hope gen 5 is good enough to bring back some of the people who left and maybe even more people.

Being hard to permanently kill though isn't the same as impossible, I would be more worried about a revenants tendency to indiscriminately inflict harm or even kill on completely unrelated people for no reason other than to do so.
A pity there are no priests or Paladins around(at least that I can recall) because those would be really useful to have to put down revenants not to mention any other undead likely brought along by Rising Fire.

Oh right, its about time for the Halloween story, right? And a sequel to the one from two years ago, oh dear, Twilight is in trouble. I wonder what's Rising been up since her first appearance (this is probably years later, since most Freeport stories were way before Twilight went to Ponyville and now there's Twilight's castle).

shouldn't they be happy that in a way they are leading their best possible life? no? well okay then.
Oh damn. I was more expecting an interquel between Come and See and Blood and Iron, but this is looking more like a straight-up sequel to the original. And having it between Rising and her company versus the present day Twilight and Starlight is an angle I never considered but now badly want to see.
Is this story going to be stand alone, or will I need to read some of your other stories first?

If they were reasonable they wouldn't be leading an attack. If anything they might create a committee to see Starlight Glimmer pay for her horrible, horrible crimes.
Let us not forget, Starlight Glimmer has the highest killcount of anyone in MLP. She's responsible for all the deaths in each of those timelines, and apparently also all of the deaths from those timelines being overwritten. Including that one final world where everything was gone and we could find no sun or moon in the sky.
