So wow, that's over 800 followers.
I just want to say thanks to everyone who's commented on any of my fics or made a comment on my user page or replied to any of my blog posts. There was a minute there where I really thought I'd managed to piss off everyone on the website, but the positive reinforcement just kept coming and I can't articulate how happy I am that I'm making people happy. People are reading something I've written and it makes them laugh. That's all I ever really wanted. That's a good feeling. Thanks for laughing.
And thanks to everyone who didn't laugh, what the hell. Yeah, some of my work could use some more work. A lot more in some cases. But if I never made any mistakes and nobody ever pointed them out then how would I improve? So thanks for the negative comments too. I'm paying attention. I'm listening to what you're saying, and hopefully the next fic will be better for it!

Its not your fault Fimfiction is run by someone who can't make up his mind. Maybe we do need a teen filter too, that or just remove the teen rating since there seems to be no point to it.

Uncle, I'm surprised you ever actually doubted yourself. Look at all the fans you've collected over the time you've been part of the community, all the stories you've written.
One mistaken content filter setting isn't going to ruin that, unless the admins went berserk. We're all adults here, and we can handle a bit of mature humor, even if it is rated 'Teen'.
247572 The Teen filter is there to act as a middle ground between the two extremes (no gore/sex/a little bit of violence, and enough gore/sex/violence/innuendos to build a story on.) I'd say it's serving its purpose through all the uses it gets.
247577 It was the L&BBOJ story, he made a mistake in his humor and the content rating got jumped up to Mature by the admins. I think he also got a warning from the staff, and he was worried that he'd pissed off his readers through that same mistake.
I don't see any angry readers...but then again, this is only comment #20 out of 800 possible comments, so I could be wrong.
The thing I like about your stories is that it is, on occasion, difficult to read. What I mean by that is that you don't exactly cross the line, you dry-hump it.
The stories generally involve awkward circumstances or characters knowing far too much about each other, and it is really cringe-worthy. But it makes the story just way funnier as a result. For example, in Estrus, that line where Pinkie jokingly asking Rainbow and AJ if they're getting a divorce while they were fighting (and teabagging, I think? I confess, your stories are a bit weird), and that made me laugh out loud.

All I can think is that some people may have got annoyed about ponies being put in remotely sexual situations, but even then it's just innuendos and talking about it in hilarious dialogue

The whole "Adult humor" post was, if not directed at me, then certainly included me in its sights. Even if it wasn't everyone assumed it was, which is about the same thing. I've also noticed a few people saying that I ate the feature box by posting all of my stories at once. Completely unintentional, but it happened, so I'm going to wait until my stories have dropped out of the box before I start posting anything new. There was some miscommunication there, but it's all worked out now, so we'll say no more about it.

I just might! Yeah, I think at this point if I post something and everyone following me likes/faves it I'm almost guaranteed to get on the feature box. Which is honestly kind of embarrassing. I'll have to try and spread things out in the future. At least so I never have two stories in the box again, that's just gratuitous.

I don't think the teen rating is useless so much as it's just not well-defined. It's probably impossible to come up with a hard and fast rule, but if there was some kind of guideline for what belonged where then this kind of thing wouldn't happen. Frankly, I think the best solution would be to have four ratings, and just have a rating that is entirely for porn, since from what I've been reading a lot of people would like to be able to browse "adult humor" without finding themselves in clopfic territory. And the only reason I rated all of my stories teen in the first place was because I thought mature was the porn only category. Just a little more detail on what makes a story what rating would be a huge help.
...though really, now that I think about it really hard, I think Estrus probably should have been Mature from the start no matter what. That fantasy sequence with Twilight and Celestia was just over the top. I mean, I wrote it over the top on purpose, because it's funny, but kids don't need to be reading that. All that being said, I kind of sigh and shake my head that nobody seemed to mind that The Creature that came to Ponyville is rated teen. So teenagers can read all they want about aliens snapping pony's necks or gouging their eyes out, but if they read something that suggests that ponies masturbate that's over the line we need to put a stop to that right now.

The important part is that the characters don't lose their characterization just because something untoward happens.
WHELP I can honestly say to no fault at all on your part I might add, Uncle. That while some stories are old to some of us it really shows just how much of an impact they had in the community as old fans and new ones popup. The fact so many of your fics have seemingly gotten stuck in the featured box was because of how fun they are to read.
Is it your fault that fics are overflowing the featured box? Well, you had a lot of fics in the front page for updates that's for sure. But all that says is that the fics would of graced the box regardless on their own merits and not just because it has your name on it. It's not like you bumped off anyone's story off the front page on purpose; If they are good stories they will be read and just cause someone didn't make a feature box doesn't make the fic any less good.
Authors coming at you with words of jealousy over such a thing when I doubt you even care about the featured box or expected so much praise for your fics (which deserves a lot of them!) so I hope you keep posting your stories at your leisure.

We love your stories, and if anyone has an issue with you taking up too much of the feature box? Well.... TOUGH! I can't speak for all but I for one am happy to see you are still writing stories ^^ I mean there is good reason your fics are hitting the featured box and it's not because your posting a lot of them! And FOR SHAME if those jealous authors are accusing you of such fallacies!
Be proud and stay proud of the work you're doing and focus on what you can improve on in future stories and learn from past ones.

Oh, I had a fanbase, and it was a good one, but it's a matter of degree. Correspondence has been on ff.net since last May. In that time it's garnered 30 responses and 63 faves. I put the same fanfic up on this website, and in about a week and a half it's gotten 233 comments and been favorited 1174 times. I knew there would be people who recognized my fics from other websites, and I expected for people to generally like them or at least find them inoffensive. I didn't expect to get almost ten thousand pageviews.
So it's starting to sink in exactly how many people really like what I do, and it's very exciting and kind of humbling at the same time.
Edit: I realized I spent most of that paragraph talking about numbers. That's terrible. What's really blowing me away is the number of people telling me that I inspired them. People are telling me that I got them into fanfiction. A really amazing writer that I've been in near awe of actually told me that my fanfiction shaped the way he writes some of the characters. I'm flabbergasted. I knew people liked my fanfiction, I knew it was funny, it never even occurred to me that it would encourage someone to start writing themselves. I don't usually use the word "blessed" in casual conversation but that's how I feel.
