That's the reason I'm going to avoid reading a lot of the fan feedback. Every fandom has that unpleasable and very vocal element that likes to stir things up and complain about everything, and I like to avoid that nonsense as much as possible.

No episode is going to be liked by everyone, and that's okay. I found this one to be insane, in a good way, and I absolutely love that we got this concentrated super-ultra-mega-dose of injokes, nods to the fandom and overall hilarity. Now, the next episode and every one after this can be the usual goodness: I believe both we and the writers have got it out of our system.
I thought the episode was great. Not because of any of the gags they used or particular background ponies they used. I loved it because it was a great look at how the peasantry live in a hero filled world, any world not just pony. A monster attacking the town is shrugged off as just another Thursday, but a suit not fitting or flowers not being ready is worthy of full blown panic.

This episode is a bit like meeting Pinkie Pie face-to-face; you can't fault its sense of fun, its breathtaking pace, and its willingness to deliver in the slightest. But you're not sure whether you like it or not, there are probably too many guests at this party, and my god is it insane.

I adored this episode so much. I don't think I've ever seen another show take ideas from the massive fan community, and implement them as canon, yet still leave so many holes for the fans to fill in.
It's amazing to see, and very heart warming at that. Seeing a fan community actually have a genuine impact on the show they love so much. Here's hoping they develop some of those other stories introduced here!
The naive side of me hopes we'll get more episodes like this.

This episode was goddamn amazing, I only just now was able to watch it. So many headcanons confirmed, and Derpy's new voice is perfect and adorable, especially how her "r"s sometimes sounded like "w"s. I didn't think the Treehugger episode could be topped, but I was damn wrong! There was even a goddamn changling in attendance of the wedding! Best episode to date!

Bonbon and Lyra use "BEST Friends" as code to throw off more sensitive mothers no doubt. Clearly this is where Diamond Tiara and Silver saw these two being SO CLOSE and being such BEST FRIENDS and having their own BEST FRIEND BUTT BUMPING ritual, that these two probably inspired DT and Silver to make their own Besties dance. That or Lyra and Bonbon just love that those two do it so publicly that it encouraged them to sneak in more direct obvious ways to push the 'best friends' public show of affection.
Lyra is so "Whatever" about stuff. They had valley girl accent too. Loved the way they gave fans an excuse to adopt the Sweetie Drops name. lol Best celebration episode since Last Roundup!
DERPY!!! And wow... she sounded very close in attitude and voice to Balddumborat. That was weird. But it came out nicer. So glad to see her talk and have such a huge presence and part in the episode. xD
That Roseluck and Doctor part at the end. I WISH I could remember the episode in which Doctor acted exactly like that with Rose. Maybe the Christmas episode? I like that Doc is like such an egghead. Twilight is all about Magic. He's all about Science. Twilight is not the only egghead in Ponyville. ALL MY LOVE. <3
Gummy. Somehow Gummy talks to Pinkie and she is somehow able to pick up his words. She likely thinks every pony can hear him to so it's totally normal to talk to Gummy. Bravest Warriors Paralysed Horse is best moment in episode. That and the changeling. I don't know what my favorite is! I JUST LOVE IT SO MUCH!

Sorry D. But trying to stop the ships is like trying to stop a bullet train with your bare hands, and part of the the fandom is in Denial. They didn't accept the possibility that Dinky could not be Derpy's daughter so the adopted Sparkler as Derpy's daughter. Either way the fanfics will keep coming!

A lot of people love the 100th episode for the large amounts of fan pandering. A portion of people think this episode sucks because of the fan pandering. There doesn’t seem to be much recognition that this episode actually has a point, unlike Double Rainboom, which threw a huge amount of references with a ‘morale’ tacked on at the end.
If someone were to view this episode in an internet culture-free vacuum, like a young child, or someone a decade after FiM’s finale, there actually is a lesson it’s trying to teach. Everyone is a star in their own series. Even though the issues people face aren’t objectively equal, every person you pass on the street is currently working towards the most pressing thing in their life. Life as we know it is flitting in and out of the timelines of OTHER people. When we come together in a social event, it’s all of us simultaneously existing in each other.

That's fine. Button/Spoon was my preference anyway. It's as close to canon as Button/Belle was, and canon will have the same affect on my like of it as it does my like of other things.
