I need help cleaning out my story queue · 6:20am Jun 13th, 2015

Okay, so I want to start writing again and I also want to clean my slate of stuff I should go for and stuff I shouldn't. What better way then to let you guys choose? Okay so this list will not count four stories I have (Two are up, one I'm still not satisfied with the ending and the other is a surprise) so without further a due, I will list the stories name, the basic synopsis, and why I thought to write it.

1. A Laments Melody- While looking through the old books in the castle of the sister princesses, Twilight discovers a journal of a pony who knew Princess Luna before she turned into Nightmare Moon. As Twilight studies the journal she learns of the events leading to Luna's turn as well as a special aspect of said journal, it holds more then the stallion's memories.

I began writing this because I was highly inspired by the stories in stone series by TDR (Here is a link to the first one) I wanted to make something similar but with some big differences as well. A little side note, the journal is somewhat based off of a diary from another famous series.

2. A Sonata of Redemption or A Composition to Downfall- Canterlot High is playing host to a popular music competition "Merry Melodies" with more artist and bands rushing to the school to compete. While two of the Dazzlings wish for nothing but to finish their punishments and be done with Canterlot High, Sonata wants nothing more then to listen to the music the contest will bring. When a certain artist arrives however, an old siren's tale could be the answer to return what was taken from them and then some. Meanwhile, a dark shadow cast itself over the school as panic attacks, delusions, and nightmares plague the competitors. Are the Dazzlings behind this, or is their a more sinister being at work?

I wrote this because of a little idea I had about the idea of true love and soulmates. Merry Melodies is a place holder name until I can come up with something better. I also started writing this to get on the whole Sonata ship craze.

3. Friendship is Family- Life can be funny sometimes. One moment, you can be hit by a van trying to get on the city bus for school, the next your flung through the home of a god of chaos into a magical land filled with magical talking ponies. As Jaytee lives through the events after Discords return he begins to face the choice of returning home or staying in this land, that is, if a past sin of humanity could be forgiven.

When I wrote this... I was in a dark place after I went through the actual events of being hit by a van. I also wanted to try a interesting twist with the connection between the two universes. also This was made halfway through season three of the series and is one of two stories I have yet to rewrite.

4. Blue Winged Angel- After losing both his girlfriend and his home, Josh was having a hell of a time getting through life. Then he was thrown a curve ball when a big surprise fell into his pool, a literal angel with blue wings and rainbow-colored hair. As he tries to help keep her safe from a crazy group, a greedy drug dealer, the government, and supernatural threat he can't help wondering if he's helping her because of honor and responsibility, or because of something else? And why does she keep saying she's a Pegasus?

This is the second story I need to rewrite, I wrote it as a switch from HiE fics and because Dash is my second favorite character. I also thought the premise of Dash being sent to our earth after finding out about the Equestria Girls earth would kinda cool. Also, If I do it, it'll have a squeal

5. La La Latch- Vinyl Scratch, being one of eight girls unaffected by the Siren's magic is continuously forced to watch as the love of her life, Octavia Melody, is degraded by Aria Blaze. Having enough of this, Vinyl challenges the three for Octavia's freedom with the one thing they'd want: hers.

A big inspiration of this is from the song performed by Pentatonix of the same name. Also I came up with this when I watched Rainbow Rocks and thought it would have been nice to have it right after the group talks to Trixie.

6. My Little Hippologist: Culture is Magic- When the world makes contact with Equestria through a make-shift portal, a fresh eyed Anthropologist switch places with a unicorn known as Lyra Heartstrings to study the magical land for one entire year. It is up to him to document and fully integrate with the natives in order to learn all he can about this new race. Will he succeed, or accidentally cause a war?

So I came up with this one when I was studying cultural anthropology, at the time I found a couple of stories where both worlds were already interacting with each other but hadn't found one which really showed the first steps.

Warning!!!! #7 is graphic due to it being a try at horror/suspence/something gut wrenching. Please skip over to number 8 if you are the faint of heart.

7. The Deadly Game- A twisted killer kidnaps Octavia Philharmonic, Bonbon Sweetdrops, and Rainbow Dash leaving their girlfriends Vinyl Scratch, Lyra Heartstrings, and Derpy Hooves a chance to save their lives beginning with one little phrase: "I want to play a game."
HOWEVER! I have thought of a alternate story to go with the tittle. It may be just as graphic
7.1 -This takes place in a universe where Rainbow Rocks doesn't exist. One friday morning the mane five receive a message from Sunset Shimmer telling them about a surprise she has for the group. Unsure of what it is they are shocked to find the schools video system streaming Sunset Shimmer tied to a chair while a mysterious stranger announces a little game. Every hour from ten to three a bullet will be added into the revolver, representing her sins against others. If she truly has changed, she will face her sins and live, otherwise she will succumb to the past that haunts her.

The first one as I said before was a test at trying to do horror, it's also based off of the Saw series since people seem to enjoy it. The second one was when I read the christmas special and thought of something similar to the Saw idea and also inspired by some of the stories by Edger Allen Poe.

8. Picking Up The Pieces- A direct squeal to my story Strangers in The Night. After being attacked by the frightened mob, Mezzanotte begins repairing his life with friends both old and new, will he be able to have the life he once did, or could it be better?

I really feel I need to make this one, you know? to make sure I clip some lose ends.

9. The Strange Life of Torchwood- Equestria isn't as perfect as it's made out to be. Other then magical creatures and spirits there's also the threat of alien's. When the Doctor is off saving another world or Equestria during a different time line who watches over this wonderful world? A thousand years after Twilight's coronation that duty belongs to Torchword, caretaker or the Extreme Defense Division watching over items foreign and native to the planet Equiis. This is his story.

This is for my ask blog which I haven't been able to work on and hopefully will be able to soon.

Well, that's it, what do you guys think? Are there some here I can/should go after? Some I should throw away?
