Recently, I've attempted to start two separate long-form stories. Both times, I've made it two chapters in, progressing nicely, and then felt my motivation to pump out another 20 chapters fade away.
The stories, for anyone curious, are tentatively titled Blood Diamond and Out of Body.
As you can imagine, I was a little bit frustrated by this. I want to publish horsewords, and it was proving far more difficult than I liked. So, eventually, I just said "fuck it, I'mma write something and publish it". At that time, the Noble Jury was having a somewhat silly conversation over on skype, and a topic that came up happened to involve certain mechanics of Twilight's teleportation spell.
Well, without spoiling anything, that's what I ended up writing about.
Thus begins a new era of my ponyfic writing. I've decided to put the long-form stories on hold for the time being. They are still coming, but my focus for now is shifting elsewhere. I plan on essentially writing whatever silly little oneshots creep their way into my mind over the next little while. They're short, easy, and it'll allow me to actually publish something for a change!
So get excited for that! Or don't. Do whatever you want, really. I'm not your mom.

If it means more stories like this one, by all means write whatever dumb thing pops into your head.
And considering that the last long fic of your's I read awoke an irrational fear of waking up on a deserted island I didn't even know I had... maybe its a good thing that you just write silly one shots.

Aww, darn. I remember you talking about Out of Body on the chat, and I was getting excited for it. It sounded like a really awesome story in the works. Still, I can't complain if it means more silly one-shots are coming our way. I'm definitely looking forward to them!
