State of the Lemur 05/15/2015 · 3:41am May 16th, 2015

Do Not Attempt To Adjust Your Frecklepone Set

So, a few days ago, I wrote a crappy little thing. And someone somewhere mentioned how it somewhat resembled another crappy thing. F'naaaa.

Ah well, at least the tone is waaaay different.

But that's what happens when you've written as much shiet as I have. With 80+ stories congregating on the side, you inevitably start plagiarizing yourself. I wonder if I should sue.

I really did go to Disney that day... and several, several, several other days before that. I'm a wyrd lemur. My lurve for the whole Disney phenomenon expands beyond all the various spheres, be they either philosophies or phelias. That's why, exactly a year ago, I signed up for the annual pass... solely for the purpose of bragging about it a year later to perfect strangers on the Internet. Seriously, though, that's chiefly what an annual pass is good for: bragging over one's ability to contract mouse ears at the drop of a gas pedal.

I could do it for another year, but I dunno. I'm a bit conflicted. For one thing, I lurve the place. But for another, when you live with something you lurve, then it becomes a marriage... and I'm not sure I'm ready for that kind of misery. F'naaa. Maybe I'll leave the kitchen door open for Universal Studios to sneak in after work hours have begun.

Yeah. Fuck my life. I'm playing Skyrim on the PC.

I've just about gotten a handle on utilizing mods, and--boy, lemme tell you--there's nothing quite like busting a door down and sicking Applejack on a bunch of zombie druagrs.

I know everyone's been playing this game left and right for ages. I, myself, pooled about 35+ hours into the 360 version back in 2013. But now, it's a whole new ball game, and a gorgeous one at that.

I only wish the existing pony mod out there had... erm... more voice samples. It's a bit disheartening that my Applejack cuddle!buddy can only say five things, and one of them is the heinous MOAR APPLES from Hot Diggedy Demon's cartoon thang.

Like... for real, I absolutely loathe the ".mov" vidyas. Maybe that makes me a hypocrite. But if so, I'll gladly be burned at the stake.

And...

Uhhh...

That's about it, really.

There was no new episode last week, and I haven't been writing anything of significance (though that's hardly new). I started this "State of the Lemur" thing as both a means of touching base with the marsupial alumni as well as a possible method for goading me into writing more stuff worth rambling about. But, the latter doesn't seem to be blooming much... so... should I really keep doing these? Does any of it truly matter in the long run? I get a delightful amount of attention from y'all, so I'm not complaining. I just sometimes wonder if all I'm doing is prattling about myself with no purpose.

But, I suppose, that's writing in a nutshell.

Until I prove my worth,

I, quite frankly, find your weekly blogs amusing to read. Continue them ya melon fudge.

I enjoy the weekly blogs. Your episode reviews, in particular, tend to be pretty insightful. And I just get a kick out of your blogs in general, so this whole State of the Lemur thing is like an IV drip hooking me up with my fix of... god, there really isn't a better word for it is there (?): kaizo-ness.

Oh, and I hate .mov, too. I like dark stuff and all, but shock-humor and hideousness for hideousness' sake just makes my ass tired.

I clicked on the first pic and found this in the more section of the page. It's cute and ship-able.

I love your blarghs. Almost as much as I love the PONY.MOV series.

I love the weekly blogs. They're like Franklin D. Roosevelt's fireside chats. I don't care as much about what is being said as much as thE PRESIDENT IS TALKING, THIS IS AWESOME

I, for one, enjoy these weekly blarghs.

The .mov are really only good when you watch them all back to back. Otherwise it's just too random. HDD Invader Zim is another insanely popular one people like mainly because of the insane production values.

If your blogs were boring, I would say feel free to stop. Unfortunately, they are entertaining enough to make me return each week. I hope that you will let me continue to do so. Long live the lemur!

I like reading a well-versed person's thoughts on things, even if it is sometimes random and seemingly pointless.

Plus, from what I hear, there was a time where you hardly spoke at all around here so these blog posts from you are only extra appreciated. :pinkiehappy:

Of course you should sue! Your Future Self is stealing from your Past Self! You must not go unpunished, so that you can receive justice :raritywink:

I've been loving the State of the Lemur blarghs. And just yesterday I finally caved after 3-4 years and watched the .mov series... Yeah not my thing. Meaningless gore and such? .out.of.character. pretty well shows my view of it. Is that hypocritical? Maybe. That story kind of teaches the lesson by providing examples of the dark places of fiction. And it teaches it dang well.

I enjoy getting glimpses into the hamster lemur wheel that is your mind, and seeing your opinion on episodes is always a treat. I say keep it up.

Go for it. Apparently Past Skirts has money.

Jeez, who would give Anna a greatsword and ebony armor? At least don't skinny it down for her! That's cheating.

I like the blarghs, as always, and these last ones are really fun.

Oddly enough, I've picked up Oblivion again. It helps me appreciates many of the small improvements. For example, Skyrim's NPCs don't zoom into your dreams anytime you talk to them.

I like the blarghs you put out. It sure beats hearing nothing from you for months on end.

I enjoy getting to know more about you and your opinions on episodes and things like .MOV.

My opinions on the .MOV series . . . vary. I like the Pinkie one, because washed up celebrities are a good topic for messed up humor I think. Some of the others, not so much.

I love Disney. Aladdin is my all time favorite movie. I also really like The Fox and the Hound and A Goofy Movie, even though I know those aren't super popular, as well as Snow White and Bolt.

I like these blogs, myself. They're fun to read!

I'm late to the party, but I want to say that I like these blarghs. It's interesting and entertaining to get a look inside your head (as well as mildly frightening on occasion).

I also get a lot more out of them than your usual pictographical/rebus-like blarghs that I'm too stupid to understand, though the pretty colors and movement sure can keep my attention for hours and hours and hours and hours . . .
