Day late, but never too late · 2:56am May 12th, 2015
I know it's late, but I wanted to say happy mother's day to all the mothers out there. And I want to thank all the single parents as well. You have to fill both the roll of mother and father. I can't imagine how hard that is. All I know is that you are my hero. I grew up with both till I was about 13. Then my mother left and I had a choice to make. I am still glad I had the choice, not a lot of kids get that choice. But I chose to stay with my father. He picked up where my mother left. So thank you to all the parents, single or not. I want to say that my story 'Mistakes Happen' is for those parents, but I feel that it scratches the suffuse of what a single parent deals with.
I do want to say thank you to my father who instilled the love reading and books in me. Without that love to read, I would have never though to try and add to the world stories that others may want to pick up. I would like to think if he was still alive he would be proud of me. Sorry for anything that I may have said that would offend anyone. I do not mean to offend anyone. Again I am sorry if I did.
