"He's posting about upcoming stories? Shouldn't he be more concerned with finishing the one he's already on?"
If that (or something like it) is your first thought when seeing that headline, I understand. But thankfully, I'm nearing completion with Oathbound, so I'm permitting myself the luxury of looking ahead (if only for today). Basically, I just want to talk about what I'd like to do and request feedback on what you guys would like to actually see.
Basically, here's the plan as it stands now: after finishing Oathbound, I plan on writing one follow-up story to tie up the loose ends, and then I plan to write a bunch of smaller stories, primarily focused around some of my other OCs that haven't had much time in the spotlight. And beyond that, my head is starting to formulate an idea for my next major writing project, but (let's face it) that is still quite a ways off.
So that's what I'M thinking. But as nice as that sounds in my brain, it sure doesn't involve the most important people (or ponies, I guess) in the whole scenario: all my readers! Basically, I'd love to know what you guys would like to read about here. Got a particular character of mine you'd like to know more about? Or maybe a slice of life story about one of the Mane Six? Or just something altogether stupid? I'm all ears!
...OK, no, I'm not. That sounds weird and creates a disturbing mental image. Let's just suffice it to say that I'm eager to hear what you guys think. Be on the lookout for new chapters in Oathbound; it's almost done! Till next time!

I think it's a great idea!
A person I follow does that too. I would love to see some more personal stuff with the rest of the alicorn guard like Nova for example. And some more spotlight for the mane 6 would be great. Because it's obvious they miss him and I'm pretty sure they don't know what happened to Lily.
So this would be a chance to give you a little more of a break from writing a main story to writing short stories leading up to a big one.
Sorry but now I think I'm rambling.

Well, now you've gone and done it. You inspired me, so I spent pretty much all of my writing time today devoted to these future stories. It's mostly just brainstorming at this point, but I'm liking where it's going for the moment.
And as for the Mane Six and not knowing about Lily...well, it sounds silly, but it wasn't something I had really considered up until I read that. Perhaps it's because I know how everything ends up (no spoilers), but it's still something worth investigating. Of course, there's a little side plot I'm holding in reserve with the Mane Six that (should I choose to use it) may just end up changing everything...
