Sage does fancy pictures, but IDGAF - Vermy · 3:01am May 3rd, 2015
So about a month ago I decided that one of the reasons I'd been unhappy recently is that I hadn't been writing, or playing guitar as much as I want to, purely for the fact that for the last month we've been getting our balls smashed at work in preparation for some new stuff that I can't talk about because OPSEC and all that shit. So don't ask. I'll just tell you to pound sand.
Anyway, getting back onto this wagon was about as easy as one, two, fuck where did I put my external hard drive? Yeah so that happened for a couple days and I finally located it in a backpack that I hadn't used since I came back from leave in January. After I found it I found myself (ironic right?) looking at my mess of folders that I had somehow allowed to fall into decay, and spent probably 20 minutes fixing because my OCD is strong. All that aside, I got back to it, have two stories I'm actively working on, one being Luna Nos Custodite, which just received it's third chapter, and another fic that I will simply refer to as Project: Leo which currently has four chapters, but wont be posted until I have it finished.
Okay, time for some real talk. So the other day I was out in the hangar working with my buddy to get some birds ready to go to [OPSEC] to do [OPSEC] against [OPSEC], when the discussion came up that YouTube has basically become the greatest learning resource available to the human race. As soon as I said that, I immediately took a step back and thought about the first time I watched a video on the YT was an old Halo 2 machinima clip that I can't seem to find anymore. Whether it's not on the site anymore, or just buried in years (more on that) of random videos, I don't know. Fun fact about YouTube though. Every minute (i.e. sixty consecutive seconds, or one revolution around the clockface by the 'skinny hand'), approximately twenty four hours of video is uploaded to YouTube. That means that every hour around 1,440 hours of video is uploaded to just that one website. Taking it even further, multiply that by twenty four for a full day and you get 34,560 hours of video for just one day, and over twelve and a half MILLION hours every year (12,614,400 to be exact). YouTube has become an incredible resource with an exponentially expanding information base. Not going to say that every bit of video uploaded is an informational gold mine, since we have people like Pew Die Pie wasting oxygen, but if you know where to look, and what you're looking for...It'll probably be there. Armed with this information, one would assume that you could become more knowledgeable every time you logged on to YouTube, but then something I like to call 'Wiki-syndrom' occurs, where you find one video, watch it and then see an interesting thumbnail and you keep clicking and watching until you reach that 'weird part of youtube.' (we've all been there, lets be honest).

Tune in next time for some other bullshit.

P.S. I'll be visiting Sage next December. Maybe I can teach him how to drink properly. Fucking nerd.
