    Post Mating Season Finally Up

Well it took me a week and two failed submissions but the sequel to Mating Season is finally up. I guess that's just going to be tradition because my original submission of Mating Season failed and in the spirit of a sequel this one failed twice because I didn't read the first message from the moderators very carefully.

    Post Mating Season

Okay, after years of not really working on it, I finally posted the chapter that I started two years ago.

I posted it last night around 1 am EST so I'm surprised it's not up yet. Probably why I'm not getting a bunch of notifications telling me I'm sick and wrong... and this time I don't have the excuse that I was sick.

    Airport

I was up late last night because I'm an insomniac and nothing else was on. Then I saw Airport was on... actually I misread it first, I thought it was Airplane, the legendary spoof comedy. But I rolled with it.

    Space Munity

Space Munity was some old sci-fi movie that would have been forgotten if not for the brave men of Mystery Science Theater 3000. It starred super action hero Reb Brown (I did not pull that out of my ass that was a description on the box of one of his movies). Reb Brown was never as big as Stallone or even Steven Segal, but he has a bit of a cult following mostly because he would shooting machine

Fun Facts of the Voice Actors · 7:42pm Apr 29th, 2015

Have you ever gotten bored and looked down the list of the voice actors on My Little Pony and seen what shows and films they've worked on in the past? I did, and boy did I have a laugh. Some of them will shock you.

Tara Strong (Twilight Sparkle): Most of you will know her from her work as Raven on Teen Titans or Timmy Turner on the Fairly Oddparents, but did you know she was Bubbles on Powerpuff Girls? That was one of her first lead roles. She was also Dil Pickles on Rugrats and several other baby voices such as the babies on Proud Family... if anyone else remembers that show.

Tabitha St. Germain (Rarity, Princess Luna, etc): Another long standing veteran, she originally went by the stage name Paulina Gillis. Like nearly everyone on this show she has worked shows under the Barbie and Care Bear licenses and Dinosaur Train. Seriously, almost everyone from the main cast to the minor characters have worked on those. Did you know she was Nazz on Ed, Edd, and Eddy? She's also not going to be the last cast member of that show who found their way to MLP: FIM. You also might remember her the insane racist character Flay Allster from Mobile Suit Gundam Seed (again, not the last person we will see from that fanchise). She also was on Death Note, Inuyasha, X-Men: Evolution, and many others from the late 1980s to today.

Andrea Libman (Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy): Libman hasn't been in the industry and her history is short (though not as short and uninteresting as Alshleigh Ball). The only thing that got my attention was she was Chi-Chi in Dragon Ball.

Cathy Weseluck (Spike, Mayor Mare): She was Mirai Yashima from the orignal Mobile Suit Gundam, she was the freaking helmsman of White Base! She was also the main human from Hamtaro on such kid friendly shows as Death Note and Black Lagoon.

Now for the real fun, the minor charactors.

Nicole Oliver (Priness Celestia and Ms. Cheerilee): Ever watch Cardcaptor Sakura? She was Meilin, Shaoran's cousin.

Claire Corlett (Sweeite Belle): Her father is Goku. Ian James Corlett was Goku and Masher Roshi in Dragonball Z.

Brian Drummond (Carrot Cake): This was the one that made me laugh the most. He was Vegeta. Mr. It's-Over-9000 himself from Dragonball Z is the timid and downtrotten Mr. Cake. He also played Benny on Black Lagoon, several characters on Death Note, Saito on Ghost in the Shell, and Andrew Waltfeld on Gundam Seed. I've probably ruined a few childhoods. His daughter Brynna Drummond played Babs Seed.

Richard Ian Cox (Snails): Richard is apparently a professional at playing characters who may be a little slow in the head since he was Ed from Ed, Edd, and Eddy. Actually the guy who played snips was Victor the Goat on that show. Richard was also Kai Shiden from Mobile Suit Gundam, Inuyasha himself from Inuyasha, and Quicksilver from X-Men: Evolution.

Kathleen Barr (Trixie "the Great and Powerful"): Like Tabitha, Kathleen has been working in the industry going back to shows like the Sonic the Hedgehog cartoon (which Tabitha was also on). She is yet another Ed, Edd, and Eddy alumni as Kevin and Marie Kanker.

Chantal Strand (Diamond Tiara): She was Lacus Clyne on Gundam Seed. She played the innocent pop singer turned leader of a powerful peacekeeping/resistance group to playing the French hamster Bjiou on Hamtaro to playing a bully pony with a bad valley accent. It just makes me laugh long and loud.

Shannon Chan-Kent (Silver Spoon): I was more surprised that Silver Spoon had a voice actress. I thought they had Chantal do them both since they sound alike and DT is more of the focus. But she does Pinkie Pie's singing voice. Another veteran of Death Note.

Samuel Vincent (Flim): If you watch a lot of Gundam like me, you'll remember him as Athrun Zala from Gundam Seed. He was Edd, Double D, from Ed, Edd, and Eddy, I think Eddy was the only one from that show they didn't get.

Scott McNeil (Flam) Most otaku probably recognize this name from his work in the Gundam series, Inuyasha, or others. Mostly, you know him as Piccolo from Dragonball Z, Captain Harlock from Galaxy Express 999, and Van Hohenheim from Fullmetal Alchemist.

Matt Hill (Soarin): I think we have nearly all the major characters of Gundam Seed, Matt was the lead character Kira Yamato.

Michael Dobson (Bulk Biceps): This one hurt a little. He was General Revil, Supreme Commander of the Earth Federation Forces in the original Mobile Suit Gundam. He was also Nappa, from Dragonball Z.

Maryke Hendrikse (Sonata Dusk): I didn't plan on doing the movies, but Maryke did have one role that caught my eye. The semi-evil airhead from Rainbow Rocks played the psychotic cold blooded killer/female lead Revy from Black Lagoon. I am now haunted by the image of Sonata violently shooting up an entire room full of Neo Nazis with an empty thousand yard stare in her eyes and walking away covered in blood spatter. Also apparently, unlike the character she played, Maryke is apparently very intelligent and according to wikipedia she was given an award for her studies in child care.

Michael Daingerfield (Braeburn): He plays Ned Foster on the show Arrow and was also on Smallville as Gordon Godfrey.

Trevor Devall (Hoity Toity, Fancy Pants, Iron Will): The fact this guy played Hoity Toity and Fancy Pants, then did Iron Will is hilarious enough. He also did the voice of Jayce from League of Legends, Mu La Flaga from Gundam Seed (because he apparently are providing work for the entire cast of that show), and several voices on Death Note and Black Lagoon and Inuyasha.

Patricia Drake (Ms. Peachebottom): I forgot about this character. She played the Russian mob crime boss and former Soviet paratrooper Balalaika from Black Lagoon. She was also in one dub Android 19.

Richard Newman (Cranky Doodle Donkey): M Bison from 1995 cartoon series. He also played roles I don't recognize from Gundam Seed, Inuyasha, Dragonball Z, Spiderman cartoon series, and even played Metatron in one Transformers cartoon series.

Mark Oliver (Gustave le Grand): Rau le Creuset... it's better to ask what Gundam Seed actor they didn't get.

Jan Rabson (Mulia Mild): The other donkey from that episode with the cake... this one shocked me. He (yes, it's man playing her) was Tetsuo from Akira. He also did voices on Animaniacs and Pinkie and the Brain. He's also done a lot of work with Pixar, not any major roles but you've heard his voice such as the Sushi Chef from Monsters Inc.

Sylvia Zaradic (Cherry Jubilee): As a big fan of the orignal Mobile Suit Gundam, this one surprised me. She was Lt. Matilda Ajan. She is mostly remember for her death (the character, not the actual actress).

I encourage you to check out these people for yourself. Many of these guys have all worked on previous MLP series, Littlest Pet Shop, Warhammer 40K, Death Note, Dragonball Z, Gundam, Inyasha, Edd Ed and Eddy, Black Lagoon, Zoids, Sonic, X-Men: Evolution, etc. Some will make you happy, some will break your heart, and some will make your scratch your head. It's a make of how small the voice acting community really is.
