This brings me no pleasure to tell you. On the morning of April 17th, I switched on my computer to work on the chapter 5 re-write when suddenly a problem had occured. The file wouldn't open.
I looked over the problem and apperently the file had been corrupted, how that had happened I did not know. So I switched over to my anti-virus program, only to find out that someone, or something, had switched off my anti-virus program and left it vulnerable. I scanned my computer to find so many virus infections in my computer and now EVERY SINGLE word document is corrupted and will not open anymore. This includes every re-written chapter that I have worked on for the past couple of months.
I'm afraid that if I cannot fix the problem, then I might have to just end it. I really don't want to do that though! I've put so much work and effort on these re-writes to bring you a much better story then I did before! But now it seems that I'll never be able to share it with anyone. I'm visiting a friend tomorrow morning to look at my computer, but if he cannot fix it then I won't know what to do. If I tried to re-do them all over again, it wouldn't be as good as before. And not only that, but I really don't want to make you all wait even longer when I was so close to getting the first chapter of the re-write posted!
I've tried using several different programs to fix them, but none have worked so far. According to certain programs, the files are just too corrupted for them to fix. I'm not going to give up so easily though, so if anyone can think of anything that can help then please tell me.
