(Saddle) Arabian Nights

Here recently I came across a number of moving, stoic, intriguing, and moving stories. The one common factor? The blazing sands of Saddle Arabia. Why is there not more takes on this exotic locale? Is it untouchable as the home of Islam? Or are there just too few in our brotherhood of fans who are familiar enough to venture to the oceans of dust and scorching heat of the dessert of horses? I for one would personally like to see how a certain chased unicorn could go without his alcohol and try to avoid another wife...
