After I finished the second chapter I posted it after only reviewing it once. After coming back to it after a week and reading it a second time, I found that it was not going the direction I had originally intended it to go. Following my original ideas concerning it, he was only going to be on Gaia briefly, and the more I write while he's there, the less I'm liking what I'm writing and the less sense it's making to me. Granted, there was a reason for it not making sense, and there were going to be other places where it would seem strange if not outright unbelievable, but I'm getting that 'this is wrong' feeling again.
That being said, I'm going to redo the chapter and have him start in Mythica, as he should have to begin with. The part with him going through the woods and the brief conversation and confrontation with the BHs still stands, though.
However, unlike the description given at the end of Last Mage, several things are going to be different, such as, for example, 'warped and twisted versions of themselves'. Things will be different about them, but none of them will actually be so different that they'd be unrecognizable. At the time when I wrote it, I was seeing a much darker outcome of this 'Flipside Dimension' which is what I was originally going to post it as rather than Necro Walk. Also, as a comment from one of my readers said, him being young again 'cheapens' his experience. While there was a reason for him being young again, I am inclined to agree, and because of this he will stay 59 years old. I am also considering having Trixie change her mind at the last second and join him, but that one is less liekly, so we'll see.
Also, I forgot to add that he'll be arriving as that Humanity is in the process of conquering the world. The Hunting Corporation will be treating this Mythica as one big hunting ground, and Humanity will be coming more out of desperation than any other reason. They have not yet reached and raided Ponyville, but news of the invaders and what they do to those they kill already has, and obviously, they are NOT going to trust him...at least not at first.
We need an 'Edit' option for blogging. It forces you to add more to it only in the comments. Oh well.
Well I feel bad that I pushed you to change things but I'd like to think it was for the better. Especially with Jacob. So many HiE stories have very young characters and I was really looking forward to an older and more experienced character driving the story. If you don't want his age to have much of a negative impact that's fine, you can always hand-wave it away with magic having some sort of special long term impact on humans, but I'm actually looking forward to an older Jacob.
The only other thing that I'd request is maybe go into more detail on how your universe is set up. We have Earth and the Pony world, and now you're adding new one(s) so that might increase the amount of confusion. So extra explanation (Graphs and powerpoints!
) would never be out of place.

I've left too many fics unfinished in the past than I like. After playing Alan Wake and then looking back on them, it makes me feel like a kind of murderer for leaving them unfinished. Trust me, it may take awhile, but I'll get it done.
