State of the next chapter [or progress update] · 9:01pm Apr 2nd, 2015
No, this isn't going to be a self-loathing one. I swear. And I wanted to say this yesterday, but figured it might not be taken seriously as a result of the april fools thing.
I'm 11'000 words in and I'm about to hit the point where there's some rather fun stuff going on in a public restroom. I've finished up the lengthy uniting and drawn out apologies, got past them ordering their food, and properly set up a situation with some other characters so the restroom scenes don't seem sudden and out of place [chapter 5 also helped with this if you remember Onyx's reasons for leaving early]. I can picture this one being around 20'000 words long upon its completion... well, the chapter's completion anyhow. I picture the rest of the story totaling up to around 160'000 due to the branching paths thing I won't shut up about yet haven't demonstrated in the story thus far, lol.
I don't really know if I'll be able to complete it this month, even though the 22nd would mark four months since the last chapter update. It really just depends on how fast I complete it and check over the entirety of the fic multiple times over. See, what I have a habit of doing when I go to edit the fic is that I'll read pretty much everything before the part I'm working on, just to get a feel for the situation again. This isn't really a bad thing, unless I'm stumped when I come to the part I'm editing of course, then all I've done is reread what I already wrote and checked for errors.
Anyhow, I just wanted people to know what was up in case I don't end up updating the story this month. It wouldn't end up being just the longest chapter I've written, it'd also mark the longest gap between updates for the fic xD
Oh, and I'm actually kind of interested in knowing if people felt I was pushing Eos or any other OC's too strongly in the fifth chapter. Like if anyone thinks I'm giving them too much attention for no reason. I was actually really worried that people would get the impression that Gilda couldn't handle her own troubles, so I had to have Eos come in and fight her battles for her :/ I kind of just wanted him to have the reputation of 'Gilda's friend', not so much 'the solver of all troubles/is now a main character'. Though I do bring him in and a couple others characters mentioned in the restroom scene. Hopefully you'll all enjoy what I've go planned and, uh... don't mind some male/male & herm/male action. Wink~

Edit: How the hell did I forget this? I'm remaking the cover art, lol. I felt it was a nice shot at a first try, but now I'm using some references and anatomy-
"You took a photo of yourself and traced over it."
I-I did no such.... alright, yeah I did. I'm still going to modify it to look like proper female anthros instead of just a male body trace and pony/gryphon heads. Sometimes things just don't 'look' right when I draw them, so I used myself as a reference using a digital camera and hopefully proportions won't be completely messed up. The major differences I'll shoot for is anatomy, fixing up Gilda's circle head thing, making it a bigger resolution, and maybe trying to add some shading this time around. Also their heights are going to be more pronounced in this version so the speech bubble makes a bit more sense and give the reader an idea of what Gilda's seeing here.

2937782 Ooh, this is certainly uplifting~ I was worried that their introductions were a bit forced at first, especially with the first version of the fourth chapter where there were four members on the train instead of two and they were a bit more rowdy. Thank you for letting me know you're interested in the story's continuation, good sir, and I will try my hand at finishing the next chapter before the 22nd... and if not, then hopefully before Splatoon for the Wii U comes out. That game will be too cool to have any time left to write my stories for a bit :<
