New story: I Shall Please by FanOfMostEverything · 3:01pm Mar 28th, 2015
You've seen FanOfMostEverything. He's everywhere. Look, down below, in the comments: he's there. I like it when I get a chance to recommend a story by somepony who does a lot for the community. You may have read his "Mandatory Fun" last year.
Yesterday he released an expanded version of a write-off story, "I Shall Please", about Silver Shill, the pony whom Flim and Flam hired to pretend their miracle tonic cured him.
Why would he do that? Was it just for the money? Well... that's hard to say, at least in this story, in which Silver Shill has some semi-noble motives, or at least thinks he does. 3000 words.
What are you talking about? I'm clearly not here.
...
Oh.
In any case... wow. I mean, like, doublepluswow. A Bad Horse plug? Thanks. I never thought of myself as doing a lot for the community. I just try to be nice.
Mm-hmm. Oh yes, most definit- wait, you mean Silver Shill, don't you, not FoME.
This post is what it means to give back to the community. Major
thumbs upmoustaches to plugging someone who's known for being active, rather than known for writing.Oooooh, more stories....

I think FOME's ubiquity may cause people to underestimate them as an author. FOME won the "There Is Magic In Everything" short-story writeoff, and has made some strong showings in other rounds as well (the Writeoffs are posted and judged anonymously, so it's just based on story quality rather than name recognition). I enjoy most everything they post.
