It's been a while since I posted anything here.

Recently, I've noticed quite a few more people Following me and Fav'ing my stories. I wanted to thank you guys/girls for that. Over time, the shock of that happening as worn off, but it's still something I like to see. So, Thank you for doing it, and I'm glad I found something to interest you.

    So today is my birthday...

    And this happens? Link

Best bday ever! Now, if only I could buy a set... And I need to paint my "wonderbolt" mini to be Fleetfoot instead of Surprise. Then, I'll be truly happy.

It's been a really long time!

But I managed to finish writing something. I want to give it one more look over before I publish it, but I'm thinking Friday morning I'll poke that little red button and see what happens. Fridays are good days anyway, it's when Forgiveness Pending updates, it's my last workday, it's win-win really. Even if the story bombs, I'll have the weekend to drink myself into a stupor and rid myself of my

    Hello Again, Everypony!

It's been a while, but I'm still here! I've got some news, some rambling about my life, and something I'd like to share with you guys.

One of my projects has a bit of an uncertain future, which I think will leave me with more time to relax, more time to write something I've been wanting to.

A shout-out, and a little information. · 3:33pm Jul 10th, 2012

So, I realised something recently. In the past, I generally wrote each chapter of my stories in one, or maybe two sittings. As time went on, I noticed that I have been using more of my free time trying to write, but not liking what has been coming out. So, I decided to take a few days off. And over the last 3 days I haven't opened MS Word once. I think this will allow me to focus more when the time comes (I plan to begin writing the final stint of We are our Habits in the next few days) and more-efficiently pump out words that make some semblance of sense.

Now, the real inspiration for this post. Some time ago, I came across a story that's premise was original and really called out to me. This story has been sitting in my RIL list for a while because I really wanted to wait until it was 'complete' before I read it. As I was looking for something to read in my time 'off,' I noticed that the final chapter(s) had been published in June.

I dove into it as soon as I could. At first, I was a little put-off by the highly stylized writing, as I'm more a fan of down to earth styles of writing. But pushing past that, I continued. Now, I've spent much of the past 3 days reading the 109,000~ words that make up this story.

The emotions in this story....

The beautiful emotions.

They won me over. So, what is this story?

A Sweet Taste of Cake. by The Descendant
Romance / Slice of Life

This story is underviewed here on FimFiction; I hope to help remedy that.

This author has tons of fans and views. This story was featured on EQD, and somehow, It only garnered a little over 1,100 unique views. After reading it, this was unforgivable. I simply had to shamelessly plug it.

On severaly unique occasions during reading this story, I died of HHNNNNNGGGG attacks. I cried tears of sadness. I cried tears of joy. I was surprised. I was perplexed. I was even flabbergasted. I felt anxious. Nervous. Scared.

I felt.

I had feelings.

Something that this jaded husk of a person doesn't normally have. Men aren't supposed to show these things, after all, and by far, the best way to hide these things from the world is to not have them, isn't it?

For people reading this who dislike sad stories. I can say, that this is not a sad story. Though, it encompasses what I made out to be about 15 years worth of life for the Cakes, and as in anyone's life, there are sad times. But, the story is about the blooming and prospering love of two ponies and their happiness. (Sidenote: If you're, like me, a heartbroken, lonely emo kid. You may experience envy and/or sadness due to the perfection that is their life.)

Thank you TD for putting your time, effort, and emotion into this story. Even with the 100% like:dislike ratio, your story is not appreciated enough, imho.

Well you got me there i guess.

Hmm... Well then, that'll go down on my Read Later list. I don't have time for it at the moment.

And of course, take your time with your chapters. I'm fine to wait a little longer if it ensures that it will be of high quality.

I love the Descendant, but looks like I missed this one. Thanks for pointing me toward him again :D

Furthermore, I thank you for all of the effort and work you have given us. Your writing is well appreciated and received, and I hope that it eventually benefits in ways outside of the internet.

224909 I got the ultimate version for $15 hehe. Also it has seen less integration to skydrive. So, I can keep my stories in the cloudwand type on any of my pcs without worrying about losing my place.
