Well, hello there, everyone! Long time, no see. How’ve you been? Me, I’m quite well, if a bit busy. Unfortunately, I’ve also had a terrible case of Writer’s Block, which is why I have been doing next to nothing on the site. I come on, read a bit, catch up on some updates, add a few things to my read later list that I’ll never get to, maybe edit someone else’s horsewords, work in the queue for the Royal Guard—you know, distractions.

Then I’d get distracted from my distractions by playing video games.

So.

Yeah.

Basically why I didn’t write much.

However, remember that thing I mentioned . . . uh, gosh, I don’t even know when I mentioned it. I think I started it over a year ago, now. I know I published a few stories between then and now, but my main goal was always to finish seven stories featuring (main character or one of) Derpy Hooves.

And I did it.

Finally.

Now all I have to do is publish them. Seven stories, one a day, for a week.

I’m releasing this blog for three reasons: one, to inform you I'm actually going to publish something so that you don't panic, scream, "Who is this, and why am I following him?!" and calmly start the apocalypse or something; two, to give you a little preview of the upcoming stories; and, finally, three, to force myself into publishing these stories, because if I publish the blog, I have to publish the stories.

I had fun with these, I won’t lie. Coincidentally, there is a large . . . range of quality. (Also, I had a terrible time finding editors.) For your convenience, I’m going to publish them in the order below. This is also in the order of what I think is my worst to what I think is my best.

And so, without further ado, I give you me being terrible at titles, me being even worse at descriptions, and previews of stories that aren’t nearly as perfect as other peoples’:

This is a silly story. Went through a couple of edits, flickered between Dark, Tragedy, Sad, and lighthearted Comedy. That’s normal, right?

Also a silly story. I had to write something about this picture as soon as I saw it. I couldn’t not. I rewrote the entire story about a dozen times before I settled on this one. It went through so many different genera changes that I constantly forget which one it ended up as. Seriously. Even as I’m writing this, I have no idea. I’ll figure it out eventually.

I’m a fan of Doctor Who. I didn’t really want to dance a jig on sacred ground, but there I go, desecrating corpses once again. Yay me.

I still don’t know if I like how this one turned out. But anyways, this is where the word count starts going up. This is also about where I start putting more effort into the stories, and where they start getting better (I hope). Coincidence? I think so.

Another first person cute fic (with no relation to the other two). I’m trying to get better at these. I think it turned out nicely. This story and the last are definitely at the top of the quality list. You can thank my editors for that.

Finally, this is probably the best thing I’ve written. Every editor/prereader who read it told me it was good. And I even got a member of WRITE to look at it. After tearing it up inside a blender, he said (paraphrased), “It doesn’t suck.”

So yeah.

Please consider reading this one. I mean, I know I’m going to experience Magnum Opus Dissonance because of the fact that it has none of the popular tags that make stories into feature box view magnets, but still, one can hope.
