Half the time I don't even know how I do what I seem to do so well. I try not to think too hard on it, for fear of breaking myself in the process.

I have an idea, and I need some feedback because this might be a big one

It goes without saying, I'm not the fastest writer around these parts. Not anymore at least. Anymore it takes time to get an idea figured out, written down, and refined to the point I want to release it for being read. But this doesn't lend itself well to getting the chapters and updates churned out. And unfortunately it leaves you with more ideas being backlogged than you want to admit. It

    Small update

Ever since the last chapter I've been stumped on what to do with the next chapter.

I'm happy to report that I'm 1.3K words into the next chapter, so things are slowly but surely getting done.

    Not dead

Neither I nor the story are dead as of the time of this posting.

Turns out writing Ulquiorra from the outside perspective of uninitiated ponies is a lot harder than I thought it'd be, and I'm having to spend a lot more time in the brainstorming stage than I'm accustomed to.

    Why?

Why is it so damn hard to write at times?

Why does the prospect of sitting down to type up an idea and give it physical form, seem to just suck the life and enthusiasm right out of you?

    A thought

The current chapters for HIE are proving to be a lot harder to write than I thought. Even harder when you've got distracted thoughts flaunting themselves at you.

HiE/RE5 crossover idea · 4:59pm Mar 14th, 2015

I was bored, I had writer's block, I just had to do this bit. Enjoy.

"Your plans are finished, Wesker!" Chris shouted, raising his gun to align his sights.

"There's no way out this time!" Sheva added as she did the same.

"Don't you two ever tire of failing in your mission?" Wesker asked as he stood with his back to them, overlooking the hangar bay, completely unconcerned with their presence.

"You're the one with a bunch of guns pointed at the back of his head," Spike quipped as he gripped the handle of the machete.

At hearing the unexpected voice, Wesker actually looked up, but didn't turn around.

"So it seems you brought some friends along," he mused as he reached up and casually removed his sunglasses. "No matter. Regardless of all that, you've really become quite an inconvenience for me."

As far as Ulquiorra was considered, this nonsense had gone on more than long enough. He'd allowed Chris and Sheva to talk for far longer than necessary. If they intended to kill this Wesker individual, they should have simply shot him from the shadows.

No matter, he would soon fix that oversight, and they could all return home.

But before he could actually put such plans into motion, he observed as Wesker -without even turning around- hurled his sunglasses at the group. And while Chris' attention was unwittingly on the sunglasses, his was on Wesker; or more specifically, his movements. For a mere human, his movements were incredibly fast; much faster than he would've thought possible.

He watched in disbelief as -in a veritable flash- Wesker easily dispatch both Chris and Sheva, and more or less discarded them like they were mere trash. And all before reclaiming, and re-donning his sunglasses.

Perhaps this fight had the potential to actually be interesting.

By now Chris was back on his feet, and firing at Wesker -something he should've done from the beginning- who was... currently in the process of actually dodging the shots. Definitely faster than what should've been possible.

Chris tackled Wesker, actually pushing him against the steel flooring a fair distance, between Wesker demonstrated that he could generate sufficient resistance to overcome the attack. And with a shrug, he kneed Chris in the chest, elbowed him in the back, and then grabbed him, and threw him against the railing like a sack of potatoes.

"Bastard!"

This time the yell came from Spike as he lunged forward, leaping through the air at Wesker, swinging his machete forward to try and cut him.

It was an impressive display of bravado to be sure. But it was easily undone by Wesker demonstrating how longer limbs were a bonus, as he easily grabbed Spike by the face, and flung him into Sheva where she stood.

In just a few seconds, Ulquiorra had seen more than enough transpire. These humans were useless against his own kind, and he would rather not stop and consider how Twilight Sparkle would fare against Wesker should she try and engage him in combat He would settle this matter by himself, and in short order.

In a burst of sonido he appeared behind Wesker, and roughly grasped him by the collar of his coat, before hurling him at the far wall.

Wesker, apparently, had other ideas of how things were going to proceed, and landed against the wall on his feet and hands in a manner that suggested he had experience with such maneuvers.

Indeed, this could actually prove to be very interesting.

Twilight watched as things developed, not believing any of what she was seeing. She watched as Wesker launched himself off the wall and back at Ulquiorra, the two of them proceeding to engage in a rapid trading of punches, kicks, and blocks against one another. Wekser was a lot fiercer in his follow through, utilizing his entire body. Ulquiorra, however, was nowhere near as frantic, all the while keeping one hand in his pocket, and meeting each of Wesker's attacks with just his one hand.

What she didn't get, however, was how anyone could possibly keep up with Ulquiorra, even to as limited a degree as she was seeing. She couldn't help but wonder if Ulquiorra was actually toying with Wesker, or if Wesker was simply that good, and could compete with Ulquiorra on a semi-even level.

No. No it was something else. As she watched them continue in their exchange, she realized that Wesker was using deflection techniques to avoid taking the brunt of any one of Ulquiorra's blows; likely realizing that even with his enhancements, any one of them could prove fatal to him if he was struck.

It was an idea that seemed all the more likely, as she watched Ulquiorra move to impale Wesker through the chest with his hand -just as he'd done to the changeling disguised as Fluttershy- only for Wesker to grab him by his wrist, and use his own momentum against him, as he turned and flipped Ulquiorra over his shoulder, and threw him over the steel railing to the hangar floor below.

Now she was mad. With a flick of magic she levitated the forty-four magnum revolver in front of her, and pulled back the trigger, intent on shooting Wesker before he could react.

Unfortunately instead of a boom, she heard nothing but a hollow Click. Blinking in confusion she tried pulling the trigger again, only for another trick. Moving to frantic, she started pulling the trigger repeatedly, only to hear nothing but clicks as the action was cycled.

It was only then that she realized she had run out of ammunition in getting to here. And she nearly pissed herself as Wesker turned around to face her, smirking at this development.

"Pity," he stated casually and shrugged.

And then Spike leaped up from behind and latched onto Wesker's back, growling as he dug his claws through his coat, and into the flesh on his back. Wesker let out a startled utterance of pain in response to the unexpected onslaught. He tried to reach around to grab Spike and pull him off, but that just drove the dragon to grapple harder, scaling up his back to the point where he could viciously bite down into his right shoulder, thus firmly anchoring himself with his teeth, and all the biting fore necessary to tear through a ruby.

As Chris recovered, he couldn't help but be struck by how... unusual all of this was turning out, as he watched Wesker trying to grapple Spike off of his back, but without much success.

"The injection! Chris, give him the injection!" Sheva yelled.

Chris shook his head, snapping back to his senses in the process. The PG67A/W serum they'd acquired, now was the perfect time to use it against Wesker! Grabbing the syringe from is vest, he ran over to where Wesker was struggling, grabbed him by the arm to restrain him, and aimed the syringe right for his neck.

Unfortunately for them, Wesker was still very aware of his surroundings. He was able to easy fling Chris aside like it was nothing, before unholstering his Samurai Edge with his left hand, and angled it around to shoot Spike in the forehead.

Spike immediately released his hold on Wesker, dropping to the ground like a stone and landing on his back, shouting all manner of obscenities as he grasped his aching head. Getting shot might not've been fatal, thanks to his dragon skin, but that didn't change the fact that it had hurt!

"You simply don't get it. There's not a thing you can do to stop me, as I am this world's new god!" Wesker bellowed.

It was then that Ulquiorra appeared right in front of Wesker in a flash of sonido, hands tucked into his pockets, his right leg drawn back as he supported his weight entirely on his left. And without giving the human any time to respond to his presence, he swung his leg forward, planting his foot squarely between his legs with a satisfying thud, shaking his entire frame in the process.

Behind him he heard both Chris and Spike let out an unintended sympathetic grunt at what they'd just witnessed happening.

As he withdrew his leg and set his foot back on the ground, Wesker let out a pain-filled groan as he collapsed to his knees, cradling his groin as all the bravado and megalomania escaped his sails. It was utterly pathetic about how little it took to bring him down, after how much struggling had been gone through to get to this point.

"Does "this world's new god" need a moment to catch his breath?" he asked as he observed Wesker collapsing onto his left side and whimpering. "Or perhaps an ice pack?"

Damn, I never expected that kind of move from Ulquiorra :rainbowlaugh: But I guess he needed to remind Wesker he was still human one way or another.

Good read.

Heh, I guess that's one way of poking a hole in his ego. I couldn't stop laughing at the mental image this conjured up for me, especially Ulquiorra's last zinger.

I could see Ulquiorra just staring at him, saying "No matter how many times you call yourself a god, no matter how many human alterations you make to yourself or whatever you did to give yourself that speed, you are still merely human, and no human altered or otherwise can best a hollow, let alone an arrancar, let alone an espada, *flashback to bull ichigo* in the vast majority of cases."

Write it write it write it write it write it write it write it write it write it write it!

Everyone knows the final boss of RE5 wasn't Wesker but actually that damn boulder.

Regardless this was surprisingly fun nonsense to read, thank you for sharing.

The nonsense might be growing. Now I've got this idea for in case the fight at the hangar didn't go so well, and had to be finished in the volcano. I could easily see Twilight levitating the boulder to try and crush Wesker with it, or Ulquiorra just plain grabbing him by his neck, and trying to drown him face down in the lava.

Everyone loves some good volcano based nonsense. Hell even Wesker's voice actor enjoys to mess around with his fans :rainbowlaugh:
