It goes without saying, I'm not the fastest writer around these parts. Not anymore at least. Anymore it takes time to get an idea figured out, written down, and refined to the point I want to release it for being read. But this doesn't lend itself well to getting the chapters and updates churned out. And unfortunately it leaves you with more ideas being backlogged than you want to admit. It doesn't help writer's block any.

Ever since the last chapter I've been stumped on what to do with the next chapter.

I'm happy to report that I'm 1.3K words into the next chapter, so things are slowly but surely getting done.

Neither I nor the story are dead as of the time of this posting.

Turns out writing Ulquiorra from the outside perspective of uninitiated ponies is a lot harder than I thought it'd be, and I'm having to spend a lot more time in the brainstorming stage than I'm accustomed to.

Why is it so damn hard to write at times?

Why does the prospect of sitting down to type up an idea and give it physical form, seem to just suck the life and enthusiasm right out of you?

The current chapters for HIE are proving to be a lot harder to write than I thought. Even harder when you've got distracted thoughts flaunting themselves at you.

Currently I'm thinking about something filler-y and related to a previous chapter, showing the battle with Nightmare Moon from John's perspective over in Villain Support, listening to the whole battle over the phone and trying to help his client while she's getting her ass kicked by forces she can't possibly understand.

People need to grow a thicker skin, and toughen the fuck up. Man up and stop crying just because someone isn't praising you 24/7 and has complaints about what you produce.

I am so damn tired of finding, or otherwise hearing about, content creators who literally can't take legitimate criticism, and react to anything that implies their work as less than perfection incarnate, with all the hostility you'd expect from someone whose life is being threatened.

As much as I hate to, I'm cancelling this story and won't be updating it any further. I've simply lost all inspiration for continuing this story, despite having ideas for what future chapters would've contained.

I haven't forgotten about or abandoned this story, or all the folks reading it. It's simply taking longer than I thought to get where I'm going.

What I have coming next is a bit different from my usual approach to doing business, and I need to figure out what I'm doing in order to do it right.

And, admittedly, I'm having some fun with a side project that just wouldn't work in the main story.

STOP using the term "misinformation."

Just accept the fact that people are allowed to lie without legal repercussions/consequences, and move on.

I honestly didn't think we'd actually be here, with this project still ongoing this long.

But then again that's my fault. If I could've kept up with my original posting schedule, rather than getting distracted and meandering and off topic like I did, this story might've been done by now. If I could've kept up with my original posting schedule we could've been on chapter 520 now instead of just chapter 135.
