The Bad and the Good..or at least funny? · 1:06am Feb 24th, 2015
Okay, first the bad news:
As you may or may not have noticed, my Hearts and Hooves Day story did not finish in time for the big day. Part of this has to two with part two of the Bad, but we'll get to that in a moment. The main reason is that my internet decided to break the night before the due date. As such, while I could have finished the story, I had no way to upload it and submit it, and thus I kind of lost motivation to keep going. Part of that was due to this second thing, which is that my girlfriend and I broke up (on Valentine's Day pretty much too). Communication problems in short and I won't go into details, but it was a bit depressing for a few days. Needless to say, writing a love story while dealing with that was not happening. But we're back, and that's thanks mostly for the Good.
The Good news: (Please don't take this seriously)
I have started a war! Without realizing it! Which is the best kind of war! Mua ha ha ha! I hereby call all members of my Pony Legion (and the griffon and sphinx too) to report for duty and prepare to fight! Your leader demands it!
No, don't actually do that, but I do find this rather funny. As some of you may know, I'm writing a story called 'Shattered' and it's about Sea Swirl and Symphony. It doesn't get much attention, but I like them and there are a few out there who enjoy it too. So, imagine my surprise when it was reported to me (by the enemy, no less!) that the mod of Fiddlesticks Answers posted a bunch of doodles of Sea Swirl and Symphony together. This baffled me, because as far as I know, I am the only being on this entire planet that ships those two ponies together. If anything, I would have expected Symphony to be with a certain musical pony, who shall not be named because this is WAR, (Psst. His name is Ballad) because that's who she's apparently going to be with in 'Heartstrings', and we all love that comic. So I had to ask why this pony was suddenly putting Sea Swirl and Symphony together. You can actually see my question the the blog. It couldn't possibly be because of me, could it?
Well, yes and no. While the mod's never heard of anything I've done, someone else contacted the mod and asked them to make sure that Sea Swirl and Symphony were NOT shipped together, because they prefer Symphony and Ballad, and thus they can't allow Sea Swirl and Symphony to win. Plan backfired, but that is beside the point.
Somepony, somewhere out there, has fired a shot at me and my shipping pair! I am flattered and wounded that somepony out there is familiar enough with my stuff, whether it's my stories or my DeviantART pictures, that they need to ask others to make sure Sea Swirl and Symphony are kept apart. As the pony who started this, even if I had no idea that I did, I cannot let this stand. Go! Fight! WIN! Sea Swirl and Symphony will be together!
Disclaimer: This is all in good fun, everyone. I'm not asking anyone to go out and start tearing other ponies up over something this silly, and I'll be very embarrassed if anypony actually does. I just thought this was amusing. If anything, this actually makes me very happy. 
Reporting for duty, sir! Ready to strike at your demand, defend at you will, and die by your side! I am prepared to hold my post until the last man, bringing down as many of the enemy as I can before they take me!
For the moon and sun, I will go down with this ship!!!!

Ah ha! But what if that was their plan all along? To get Symphony and Sea Swirl together by ACTING like they didn't want them together and therefore changing the mind of whoever to make it so?!

Also, sorry about H&H day. It can be tough to go through a breakup. Maybe you'll find someone better later down the road.

If that was the master plan, then the master plan is far too complicated and my head hurts.
And Shattered and Bloodlines will both be getting updates this month. With no contests and no deadlines coming up, I can get back to my goal of updating both those stories at least once a month.
And thanks. Breakups are not fun, to be sure. Being on Hearts and Hooves day, even less so.

My DA account is right here. I can't draw, but I do like taking pictures of my figures and plushies. My goal is to get a plushie from as many of the plushie makers out there as I can.
I don't mind the holiday, I actually like the idea of dedicating a special day like that, but this honestly didn't do my view of it any favors. But I shall soldier on!
