Changing Tastes

Is it odd that I very much prefer stories back from before...I probably wanna say the ending of Season 3?
Everything felt far more varied and creative, whereas - to me, at least - it feels like every story nowadays is a rehash of something done five years ago in some vain attempt to capture the same feeling, and it just falls flat.

The MLP Movie

It was great and had more world-building in sixty minutes than the show had in seven seasons.
I wish they'd used THIS to premier Friendship is Magic, because we'd have had so much more potential for stories than rehashing the same dozen plotlines over and over again

I've been reading a lot of other fanfics from other series, such as Harry Potter, Star Wars, Pokemon and Sonic

Contrary to popular belief, they're not all crap, you just have to know how to sort them

Try sorting by Favorites, since if it's a bad story, nobody is going to favorite it and that weeds out about 70% of the crapfics

I've also been reading TVTropes and SCP Foundation articles and they're giving me some amusing ideas for stories, yet it's hard to put them down on paper and type them up...

Shame, especially since I've got the idea of a three-way crossover...

Perhaps I should try a prompt writing thing...give me ideas and I'll see if I can't hammer out a Fragment about it
