Well, G4's been dead for a while and G5 is nothing of note, so I decided to go back and finally fill in the gaps with G1 and G3

Is it odd that I very much prefer stories back from before...I probably wanna say the ending of Season 3?

Everything felt far more varied and creative, whereas - to me, at least - it feels like every story nowadays is a rehash of something done five years ago in some vain attempt to capture the same feeling, and it just falls flat.

It was great and had more world-building in sixty minutes than the show had in seven seasons.

I wish they'd used THIS to premier Friendship is Magic, because we'd have had so much more potential for stories than rehashing the same dozen plotlines over and over again

1) We know how bullshit Charizard are (funny how we wank Ash's Charizard, yet when another comes along, we nerf it into the ground)

2) It had a type disadvantage; Ash never stood a chance (for example, his Talonflame lost to an Abomasnow, the Pokémon Talonflame literally has every advantage over, and in this same fight, Pikachu took out two pokémon he should've gotten completely destroyed by)
