You know I didn't used to like Applejack. As the neverending ride that is this fandom rolls on, I find that she's creeping up to the top tiers of my own list. Maybe it's the accent.
What are you intending for us to get? That it's the Epcot ball? I've been to Disney regularly since mere weeks after I was born. Hell, I was even at Hollywood Studios today.

Watching that episode for the first time, I legitimately thought she was going to end up being a changeling in disguise or some other evil creature. I thought she was acting nervous because she was in the middle of a giant crystal palace shimmering with 'good-guy energy,' repelling her. It would have also tied in with why she was so freaked out about being brought there in the first place. I thought "This is interesting! They aren't sticking to that obvious plot!" Even when my hopes for that twist were dashed, I still didn't put together it was claustrophobia frightening her. I thought her bursting out and running through people was just her being obnoxious and inconsiderate.
Woo, that's one flash pony. No Princesses on the list at all though? I guess Belle counts.

Now that I think about it. AJ is probably the most consistent character in the show making her even more of pinkie's foil than Twilight or Fluttershy. Applejack, followed by RD and Rarity, are probably the most sane ponies of the six.
So SS&E likes sane characters. Who would'a thunk.
Over half of those would be in my own top ten but in a different order, but Chicken Plot and Octorock would surely not be there. Maybe Fluttershy and Big McIntosh taking those places.
