A New Plan Of Action · 1:26am Feb 18th, 2015
So, I've come to a conclusion as to why I can never keep up with a writing routine, and that is because I can't work on the same, continuous thing every day. I know, I know; writing is always changing, always new. You never write the same thing twice, and all that good stuff. Well, I completely agree with that. Truly, I do. But even so, it's really difficult for me to continuously work on the same story, which is why I haven't been updating "My Little Life: The Beginning" like I should. By the way, I'm about half-way done with the chapter, so I'm planning on having it up sometime in the next week.
But back to the point, you guys may have noticed that I posted two more stories in the past couple of days. That's what I was talking about! One of those stories was pretty short, at less than 2,000 words! The other is going to be a story on its own, long, but not a series like "My Little Life: The Beginning." See, the reason I got those up so fast is that I wasn't working on the same thing, which helps to keep me interested in each story. Yes, it may seem a bit confusing, but it works! Trust me.
If you're ever finding yourself stuck on the same story every day, then maybe you could take a swing at taking up another story or two to work on. Don't get the false impression that this is going to take up any more time than writing a single story, as you should be working on the same amount of writing. But instead of it all being your original story, it'll be different every time! For example, I used to work on "My Little Life: The Beginning" every night (yes, I really did!). Now the plan is to alternate between "My Little Life: The Beginning" and "A Royal Guard's Tale." I may or may not add a story or two to the mix to keep things interesting, but that's the plan for now!
Anyways, I just wanted you all to know my routine... at least until it changes again... I hope I might have been able to help some of you, if any of you were having trouble keeping up with your stories like I was! See you guys later!
