    The Rebels Finale

So, out of some warped curiosity, I decided to take a look to see what had become of Nucanon's latest dumpster fire. Perhaps some part of me still hoped that someone on staff had a clue on how to make a good story.

    Nope.

    I'm through with Disney Canon

I'm sure a lot of you were wondering where I've been, and the answer boils down to being busy and having my computer (and all the chapters I had written) succumb to technical issues.

Your Attention Please · 10:48pm Feb 11th, 2015

Ladies and gentlemen, after giving the matter some thought I have decided to press ahead with a sequel to Friendship is Grievous. It is tentatively titled Empire and Rebellion, and I plan to post its first chapter sometime or another this month. I don't know exactly when, as other projects both on the site and in real life currently conspire to steal my attention, but in the meantime I want you to have a little teaser:

The shuttle's descent through the atmosphere was bumpy, uncomfortable, and loud. It reflected, Princess Luna felt, the unstable collective mood of those that rode within it. Some, like herself, seemed to positively ooze anger or resentment at their situation. By way of contrast, others seemed to be positively excited about what was happening, whispering frantically amongst themselves. Still more appeared frightened, nervously glancing around and up, or reciting prayers to various deities. Finally, a small number of the sapients weren't showing any kind of emotional reaction at all, simply sitting back and observing.

Most of the shuttle's occupants were humans, but there were members of other species that her reading allowed to identify as Togruta, Falleen, Gran, Bothan, and Duros. And of course, Luna thought with gritted teeth, there was the hateful Chiss woman who stood imperiously above and in front of them all, hands folded behind her back, luminescent red eyes observing and judging them. Her blue face was a mask of indifference with a vague undertone of scorn.

The mood in the shuttle grew only more agitated as it seemed to pass through the worst of the atmospheric turbulence, smoothing out considerably. Luna spent the ride curled against her seat in the corner, refusing to give anyone from this horrible galaxy the privilege of conversation with true royalty unless absolutely necessary. They did not deserve it.

It was when the shuttle touched down on the planet's surface, when the whine of the engine was dying away, that the black-clad Chiss female held up a single hand for silence. Almost instantly, she was obeyed, even the most eager conversationalists shutting their mouths and giving the alien woman their undivided attention.

The power, Luna reflected, of fear.

"Acolytes," she said in her resounding alto tone, the sound of her voice echoing easily in the confined space. "We have arrived. This is the planet where you will become what your Empire needs you to be..." she paused for effect. "Or you shall be found to be unworthy. Be honored, for you have been selected to come here because of your great potential. Be humbled, for this is ground sacred to the dark side, and those who prove themselves lacking here meet fates that are often... unpleasant."

Behind her, the shuttle's landing ramp was extending, revealing a sunny, sand-covered landing pad. Powerful winds could be seen blowing clouds of red sand through the air and heard whipping up into the spacecraft. They felt unpleasantly dry.

"Welcome," the Chiss continued. "To Korriban."

excellent I can't wait for the sequel

Please tell me this is an alternate reality where Sheelal lives?:pinkiehappy:

*Fangasm*

PRAISE THE SITH Y'ALL!!!:pinkiecrazy:

:pinkiegasp: A Sequel?!

:pinkiehappy: :yay:

Luna: Celestia has failed Equestria and she has failed me. War has broken my sister into an obediant servant to her new Republic masters, and we all suffer for it. But not me. War has not broken me but enlightened me on the truth of the galaxy.

PEACE is a lie, there is only passion.
Through passion I gain strength.
Through strength I gain power,
Through power I gain victory.
Through victory my chains are broken.
The force shall set me free.

But worry not dear sister, for Equestria will soon prosper in this ruthless galaxy in the proper hooves. So says Darth Nocturna. So say me.

Luna on Korriban? well, she will have seven moons she could use.

All About Korriban

I cannot help but wonder if the ponies being thrust into Sidious' hands would affect the events on Utupa. Well that's not how it's spelled but you get the picture. Be interesting to see what extremely long/intimidating title Grevious would have. Lord Commander Of Imperial Sanctioned Death mayhaps?

*re-reads last sentence to see if he was mistaken* Korri-- *faints to the floor*

Yes! A sequel! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

And now...

*Pauses for effect*

Very interesting teaser here. Is Luna on her way to take the galaxy over? I guess we'll find out soon.
I also hope to see, in this sequel, how the Mane 6 are dealing with all this, and if Twilight's parents, assuming they were at Canterlot when the droïds attacked, survived. If not, that could be a serious blow to the purple mare, added to what we already know.

Another thing, Snake Staff, have you put your other ongoing stories on hiatus, more precisely "Of Xenos and War"?

A Sith Chiss Lady? This sounds like Sev'rance Tann to me, but she died in the Clone Wars.

Korriban? That place is more of a tourist attraction after the brotherhood of darkness fel. Although I guess I can understand the value of tradition, that place isn't really what it used to be. Though, that's just the impression I got.

As for Luna becoming a dark acolyte... Are they actually getting real Sith training and studies? If so, this is breaking the rule of two, assuming they aren't just getting trained to be a part of Palpatine's personal guard, or becoming something similar to the emperor's hand.

Still, I look forward to the story all the same if it's any where near as good as the former one! Good luck Snake.:raritywink:

So, just wondering, is the 'magic' Luna used to fry Grievous force lightning? Seeing as she didn't have a horn anymore and thus according to your story no magic anymore as well. Hmm, if this is the case interesting foreshadowing for sure and kudos to you for that. If not, well, I guess my imagination is running wild then.
