Thank-you very much for the generous offer. If this comes back with a strike, than I might need to take you up on that.

However, I can be as stubborn as a mule sometimes when it comes to do things independently. And it doesn't help that my last pre-reader got too busy, so I've kinda been forced to do things on my own. Story of my life.
For now, let's just see how things go!

If the story does come back -- which we don't hope -- don't hesitate to take me up on the offer, however. And I know what you mean about being stubborn as a mule when it comes to doing things independently. I'm usually the same, but I discovered that you can improve enormously by having others drag your work through the mire (which I won't do, don't worry!) My first prereader really didn't like my stories at all, which was a considerable help. It's always useful to have someone independent go over your stuff!

Well, it came back. There were "basic errors" with my work.

I've only been writing for... 3-4 months so it was likely to happen.
But I'm still disappointed. I expected more from myself.

So I would love if you would help me proofread it, and I have one request.
Just read the first chapter of After so long...
And TEAR IT TO SHREDS
Take all my hopes and dreams as a writer, and lay them out in front of me to see where I go wrong at ever turn
Be as brutal as you want

If you could focus on style, that would be amazing, because I want to get rid of all those "basic errors" and perhaps clean it up a bit. That would be something I could apply to every chapter in all my stories.
Of course, I'm not going to say no to comments on content, because this is the story I'm submitting. They're just second in importance.
