    Same old Story

Yeah its about that story of mine again. Figured if anyone still cared I should give something.

I have FINALLY the first chapter typed up. Currently I'm trying to get others to take a look at it. So far I have had two friends look at it. I also got a stranger to do it. Also an acquaintance who I'm familiar with but not close to. Their opinions have been generally positive.

    Too Many Goldens

I was just minding my business in my modest room. Upon it hung my modest posters of anime that I didn't even know. There was this one with a gun-blade side by side with this one with a blade-gun. It was my pride and joy.

FIRE THE HEAD CANON! · 12:50am Jan 28th, 2015

Okay, so today I watched this video. About Headcanon. Specifically headcanon considering Applejack's parents and her cutie mark.

The cutie mark I already felt was self explanatory in the episode we see her get it so I dismissed that part. Mostly because it felt unnecessary to me. At any rate it got me thinking about AJ's parents. And boy did my brain churn something out that was...well SOMETHING.

I found myself questioning "How did AJ's parents meet and how did they end up together?" This pondering is what spurred my headcanon.

Before I explain it I must point out this headcanon involves Five key characters. These characters are applejack's parents (obviously) , Uncle and Aunt Orange, and Granny Smith. For the sake of Simplicity I'll name each of Applejack's parents.

AJ's Dad will be named Big O (yes it is a reference) and AJ's Mom Apple Pie (Did I mention I suck at naming?). As you already probably guess from the naming Apple would be Grannt's daughter while Big O would be the brother of Aunt or Uncle Orange (again for simplicity we'll just assume it is the latter).

Now with all that set I will present my headcanon.

Big O and his younger brother were born in an upperclass family. They were guests at very formal events. In this arena his brother was unparalleled in popularity (as far as Manehattan was anyway). Meanwhile Big O would be in a corner sulking. He always HATED those events as he just felt out of place.

Apple Pie will have been working on the farm for quite some time. By this time Granny had gotten weaker and so she had to take on more work to compensate. Apple Pie would go to sell apples in town (as Applejack/Applebloom do in Call of the Cutie). It is here where she hears of an important party set to be in Manehattan. Apple Pie reasons she could use it to make a lot of money for the farm (Kinda Like AJ with the Gala). After an intensive ammount of preparing apples and apple accesories Apple Pie speeds off to Manehattan.

She manages to make it to the party on time. However she has forgotten one thing. She hasn't dressed herself in formal attire but instead has gone undressed. And much like the gala she is ignored and makes next to no money.

Meanwhile Big O is miserable as he checks out the meager hor d'oeuvres. Eventually his nose picks up on the aroma of Apple Pie's uh apple pies. He gives her a bit and digs in. The two share some small talk. The night concludes with Big O being pleased to taste something actually filling while Apple Pie's confidence is shaken. However as she is about to leave she hears of another party, one that is said to be even bigger. Refusing to give up she decides to try again at this party. She runs into Big O again and again he is the only one who buys from her. And AGAIN she hears talk of a "more important" party. This repeats a few times.

Eventually there comes one party when Big O gets his apple pie she decides to leave right after. Curious Big O inquires what is wrong and she reveals that she has been defeated. Big O thinking quick, and not wanting his favorite food to leave him, decides to make a deal with Apple Pie. He claims that he can make her and her stand more "upperclass" and promises if it doesn't work he'll carry her stuff back to her home himself. Apple Pie agrees, if only to make him be quiet.

While these events were transpiring Uncle and Aunt Orange were growing closer over the course of the parties. Uncle Orange states how lovely his love is while Big O wonders how to make Apple Pie more "upperclass". As Uncle goes on about how "Stylish" his beloved is Big O is struck with inspirationg. He convinces Uncle Orange to convince Aunt Orange into helping make Apple Pie and her stand more "upperclass".

They all arrive at the party. And once again Apple Pie's stand is ignored but she isn't. Some of the guests are more interested in courting the "new doll" than actually listening to her. Over the course of the night Apple Pie grows more and more annoyed and insulted. That is until she blows up and decides to leave but not before dragging Big O by his ear to help her do so.

The duo start their walk to Sweet Apple Acres. Sensing her foul mood Big O remains silent. Sometimes things don't need to be said.

When they arrive at Sweet Apple Acres Big O's heart skips a beat. It is so different and magical to him.

Apple Pie trys to shoo him away. However Granny who spotted the stallion invites him in to rest.

He accepts and enters. He talks with Granny for a bit. As he does he comes up with an idea.

He apologizes to Apple Pie for his failure and says she wasted more time and supplies. So he feels he needs to repay her further. He offers to work on the farm to repay his "debt". Granny Accepts while Apple Pie is sour on the idea (Sour like a green apple!).

Later the Oranges make their way to Sweet Apple Acres (Big O told them about the deal back when Aunt Orange "upperclassified" Apple Pie). Aunt Orange feeling she failed Apple Pie by making her too pretty vows to help for a day. While she does so her and Apple Pie form a more friendly relationship. Meanwhile Uncle Orange strikes up conversation with Granny Smith and grows to love her stories.

Over the course of his stay the Oranges visit now and again. Each time they arrive they see Big O and Apple Pie grow closer and closer.

Yet the evitable day comes and Big O has repaid his debt. He bids farewell and returns to Manehattan. While there he finds himself more miserable than ever before. Even his brother's wedding can not lift his spirits. One day when he is at a party he remembers his first apple pie. It is then he swears off going to parties. However he is so bored at home his mind goes to chores he could do at the farm to pass the time. Frustrated he decides to leave his home. While he is walking he spots several people with friends. He realizes then he never really had anybody other than his brother. That is until he met Apple Pie. Her pies gave him hope he was not "weird" not filling comfortable in his world. And when he arrived at Sweet Apple Acres she had brought him to a sort "promised land". In that promise land it clicked in his mind jsut what kind of mare she was and before he realized it he was smitten with her. He admired her work ethic, confidence, and perseverance. Also her pies. He REALLY LIKED the pies. He decides to head back to tell her his feelings.

Meanwhile Apple Pie went back to working on the farm. Granny grabs Apple Pie and drags her into the house. Granny states that "something is rotten in Denmark. And it is an apple I say!" (Who doesn't like a good serving of HAMlet, eh?!) Granny points out the drop in quality of Apple Pie's work. It showed a lack of focus. Apple Pie trys to deny it but Granny shuts her out. Granny says how she knows how much Apple Pie loves Sweet Apple Acres and how much she prided herself in her work. But she also notes how apple Pie was also in love with Big O. She states that Apple Pie must risk losing one of her loves in order to secure one. If things went on as they were Sweet Apple Acres would have to be sold. Faced with this possibility Apple Pie runs to the train station.

Just as she arrives Big O departs. The two share a tight hug during which they both whisper "I missed you."

I know that headcanon is a bit much. And kinda smushs a few kinda stories together but this is how my mind works.

Anyway I just felt CONSUMED by a desire to share this headcanon of mine. And now I can enter my Headcanon Sleep where I shall slumber until my headcanon is "reloaded".
