Durin's Bane · 5:54pm Jan 21st, 2015
It has been brought up to my attention that I misread the wiki. Durin's Bane was the only living balrog left...So he's dead....
Gandalf gets a pass. No white magedom for him.
{minor edit with Sauron's dialogue}

Well that's good. Though he could always get promoted after Saruman's betrayal. Is this story going to go into LOTR verse? I'd like it to. I mean Celestia and Smaug, vs Sauron is too good to pass up
2738028 Let's be honest. If those two get involved in the events of Lord of the Rings (which I strongly suspect they will), someone is going to suggest that Smaug air lift the whole procession to Mount Doom and get it over with, and Celestia will be able to use his pride to make sure it happens if he does not suggest it in the first place. Throw in the fact that no orc is going to be stupid enough to pick a fight with Smaug and the whole thing will be a non-event, although Smaug's arrival in Rivendell should be hilarious.
Hm...now that I think about it, it is entirely possible that Smaug could wind up going to meet the dwarves in Rivendell when they are there because the Balrog's death will undoubtedly make some waves and Sauron is not the only one with the ability to notice something of Celestia's power hanging out with Smaug. That is going to draw attention to him and by extension Celestia which is going to seriously derail the events of the Hobbit.
