Okay, quick talk about three episodes. I know I haven't been doing these weekly but I am behind on mlp. Season 8 wasn't... as good as I would have hoped so I stopped keeping track each week. My bad. Season 9, from what I've seen, has picked up the slack. So there's some positive. I'm going to try and watch at least 2 or 3 episodes a day until I get caught up. Don't worry, I'll be ready for the finale..... ugh, i don't want to think about this show coming to an end.
Uprooted
Overall an okay episode. There's not a ton to say. It plays basically like a lot of these early season main six episodes played out in earlier seasons. Something goes wrong, all friends disagree, friends come to problem, have to work together. The only difference is that FOR ONCE one of them didn't fall into it. Yona was the one and I was surprised. It was decent and a good bonding session for them. Nothing really to look into or examine.
Between Dark and Dawn
A Luna and Celestia episode. I can't help but love it. The relationship between the two sisters is so believable and fun that I can't help but put this as one of my favorite mlp episodes. There's not a ton to talk about it, but everything that it does, it does well. I laughed and felt some great sisterly bonding. The argument wasn't unbearable and it was understandable. Siblings will argue and everything with the visuals to help with their outing was superb. Loved this episode.
A Trivial Pursuit
A Twipie episode... You know, these two together remind me that sometimes you can have a friend who you love but overexposure just leads to agitation. Twilight may love Pinkie as a friend, but it's very clear that they don't really get along when its just them. This episode was fine overall. I'm glad Twilight was able to see what was wrong with what she was doing. Pinkie seemed out of it in the early part of this episode and I thought they had flanderized her. Thankfully, she got better after she ate something which is honestly quite true for myself. I tend to be out of it in the morning before I get a bite to eat. So overall, it's a fine episode with a good moral about not letting competitions get to you.
So overall, some good episodes.
