I will admit that this has bothered me for some time while I am reading any story with Soarin in it. Most people don't realize that they are getting Soarin's cutie mark wrong. Everybody just gives him the Wonderbolts insignia for his cutie mark. When in fact, it is actually a lightning bolt surrounded by waves. I am aware that throughout the entire series, you only see it once, but still... Okay, that's my rant.

THANK YOU!!!!! I was so convinced I was the only one that was bothered by that.
I got Soarin' and Braeburn plushies recently (click me!), and I was super careful to make sure the person doing them go the cutie mark right.

ZOMG!!!!!! Those are abdorable!!! I want! Though I would rather have a Big Mac plushie. Absolutely adore Big Mac.
As to the topic of rant, it feels like people just assume. They don't want to put the work into getting the details.

And yes, people just don't pay enough attention. I think part of the problem was the Canterlot Wedding episode, which seemed to show him with the wrong cutie mark. But people, it wouldn't make sense for his cutie mark to be the same as the Wonderbolts logo!
