The Final Hiatus Update Blog

January 1st is fast approaching. 12 days, if the world doesn't end in a fiery inferno, until the Hoennshy hiatus is over and it begins regular updates once again. All of the rewrites are complete. Formatting is done. All the remaining edits to earlier chapters are finished and ready to publish.
All that remains is the 13,000 word monstrosity that is chapter 16.

A little change in pace.

Fan fiction is a strange, and sometimes wondrous being. One day it could be the thing that consumes your thoughts, then the other can be a mere ghost that haunts you for negligence. It has its advantages and its disadvantages, but its main purpose is to be entertaining and most importantly fun for the author. This is where my old plan dies.

Just read some updates of stories I track... · 3:40am Jul 1st, 2012

...I'm so disappointed. After reading some really good books, I think I may have lost the will to read the remaining 122 unread chapters I have waiting or me. I'm not saying that any of them are bad or that my writing is better, I'm just crushed by strange tonal shifts and wonky dialogue I'm finding in what should be such highly emotional scenes.

I think I need to take another look at my writing. This is just so soul crushing. It's just my opinion, and don't read this as an attack on any of the stories I've favorited. I just needed a place to vent.

205757 Reminds me of my sister's pet bird that we had years ago. It absolutely loved Cheerios. Then one fateful day someone gave it a Honey Nut Cheerio. It never ate regular Cheerios again. If you tried to give it one, it would taste it and throw it on the ground.
