Last Train is apparently getting a movie adaptation! Yay!

Don't believe me? Look at the trailer!

    Okay, okay I tease :derpytongue2:

But hey-there, look at the similarities! There's timetravel shenanigans, bitter heroes, an unstoppable enemy with liquid-metal weapons skills, and a tone of grim desperation as the apocalypse dawns.

Heck, I'm pretty sure I see Verity in there.

    The (Mostly) Official Spectrum Timeline

So, we've been promising this for some time. Mention has oft been made in recent missives from the Spectrum-verse that the writers have been collaborating on a timeline. Ah, such grandiosity.

Last Train: The Cover! · 8:17pm Jan 9th, 2015

Hi guys. It's been some time since Last Train From Oblivion last updated, due to my hands being full of Christmas, personal matters and other commitments. Rest assured however that I've not forgotten the story and am very much looking forward to the coming chapters.

In the meantime, please enjoy the story's new cover, custom-comissioned from the incredibly talented Kare-Valgon of Deviantart.

Pictured, Tess Jones, Verity Carter, Lightning Dust and Nepenthe. And of course, #9782, the Last Train...

Those of you who have seen the blog entry I wrote on the subject of my e-novel Timewreck Titanic, will know that this is not the first time I have worked with comissioned artists. I've also had two pieces of fan-art comissioned prior to my experiences with self-publication.

Out of all of these, I can easily say that best experience I had was that of working with Kare. Every idea I had, good or bad, was listened to, turned-over and examined. No request was too small or too large, no suggestion too ridiculous to consider. And on top of all this, she took the characters I've written and brought them to life.

And just look at that detail. The blue glow in Verity's eyes, the realism of Nepenthe's armour, and the sheer nightmarish beauty of the Barrier advancing across the surface of the Earth...

Kare, thank you.

And thankyou to everybody who has read, reviewed, favourited and commented on Last Train. Rest assured guys, the ride has only just begun, and we've got many miles to go.

Nb: Yes, there is a reason all of them are shown as humans. And no, I won't share that reasoning with you. I've got to keep some secrets after all

Their shadows are a bit... odd.
