More than a year ago, I posted a story on this site.
That story has mostly languished in obscurity, perhaps aided by the lack of a catchy image and by its laconic description, with little more than four hundred views so far, according to FimFiction's view counter (which, as far as I know, show the number of views for the most-viewed chapter).
The few who read it, however, seemed to like it. That story has had, as of this writing, over fifty upvotes, which is more than one upvote for every ten views.
That story also holds a special meaning for me.
Every time I read that story, I notice new details. Even though I wrote it alone, without even a proofreader, it's as if an invisible friend had been helping me all the time while it was being written.
Now that one year has passed, I decided to share the story behind the creation of that fanfic, and some details about its writing process. In other words, I decided to write The Making of Fluttershy's Garden.
This will be a series of eight blog posts (nine if this one is included), posted daily. I apologize in advance for the amount of notifications this might send to the readers who have favorited my story.
This is, in part, an exercise in analyzing my own writing. Comments are welcome. Feel free to ask questions or point interesting things you noticed.
