Dear Princess Celestia, It was a joy to have your sister and her head guard came with Rainbow Dash the other day. Having never meet a bat mare before, I hope you will forgive me for requesting some assistance from Princess Cadence and a few others in researching more information about the mare. Shockingly I have been able to find out distressingly little about the mare, and thus hope you can help me in completing this note as its been a distracting nuisance. Included below is what little I have managed to find.

Occupation: Former leader of a bat pegasus mercenary group living on the Griffin border**. Was recruited into Princess Luna's personal guard in the last three months.
Scars or accessories? A deep horizontal scar over her belly***
Close relationships: Her mercenary group consisted of three males and fourteen other females, plus ten filly's and two colts. I have been unable to find any information about them, except that they have joined the others of their clan that have moved to live under Princess Luna's protection in Canterlot.
Personality: Very serious, protective of Princess Luna, and always wary of any sign of danger, probably a side effect of her hard life. However, she also gets very fluttered by even small amounts of attention or affection from your sister.
Skills and Quirks:
Mercenary – Talented with Sword, spear and axe; appears to favor a rather brutal-looking spiked mace, but also keeps a belt of throwing knives on her, even in public from my research.
Bat Pegasus Flight – "A weaker flyer then most Pegasus, with weaker ability to effect weather systems. But due to their quieter and more precise flight, you cannot count them out." -Rainbow Dash****
* - Some rumors I have found suggest that she has a heart overlapping a bat wing located on her hip
** - Shining Armor was able to find some decent information from the mercenary contracts.
*** - From Shining's Research again, she was part of a incident with a 'rouge' griffin raiding party. The wound was patched quickly enough to save her life, but rendered her sterile.
**** - Rainbow Dash only remembers seven or eight from her time at flight school, so this information might be incomplete and imprecise, but it is all the information I have on the subject.

OUCH! At first, I thought maybe Silken had a child. I guess I was wrong. Now, I feel real bad for her.
