Half the time I don't even know how I do what I seem to do so well. I try not to think too hard on it, for fear of breaking myself in the process.

I have an idea, and I need some feedback because this might be a big one

It goes without saying, I'm not the fastest writer around these parts. Not anymore at least. Anymore it takes time to get an idea figured out, written down, and refined to the point I want to release it for being read. But this doesn't lend itself well to getting the chapters and updates churned out. And unfortunately it leaves you with more ideas being backlogged than you want to admit. It

    Small update

Ever since the last chapter I've been stumped on what to do with the next chapter.

I'm happy to report that I'm 1.3K words into the next chapter, so things are slowly but surely getting done.

    Not dead

Neither I nor the story are dead as of the time of this posting.

Turns out writing Ulquiorra from the outside perspective of uninitiated ponies is a lot harder than I thought it'd be, and I'm having to spend a lot more time in the brainstorming stage than I'm accustomed to.

    Why?

Why is it so damn hard to write at times?

Why does the prospect of sitting down to type up an idea and give it physical form, seem to just suck the life and enthusiasm right out of you?

    A thought

The current chapters for HIE are proving to be a lot harder to write than I thought. Even harder when you've got distracted thoughts flaunting themselves at you.

Does anyone know just when cider season is supposed to be?

I would suspect late summer/early fall.

I think so too

I'm pretty sure this.

The show is not too clear on seasons so it would probably be inaccurate when compared to earth's seasons. Most farms start from late August to late October.

Gonna have to agree with everyone else with fall. If it's the big push for the revenue I'd think they'd do it right before winter sets in and they can't harvest anymore, plus they'd want to use up any excess produce they have so it doesn't go to waste.

If you check the fan-made timeline, it is indeed in fall. It is between Nightmare Night and Applebuck Season I believe.

The time when the stars align, and the Dread City of R'lyeh rises from the ocean depths, so that great Cthulhu can be awake- Oh, I'm sorry! I think I may have been reading off of my schedule for the next month. Oops, did I say that aloud?

If you have several types of apples in an orchard the fruit ripen at different times of year. However the widest variety of apples are the Apples themselves. Based on Applebuck Season I am gonna go for Summer as their ripening season, during which they could be harvested in stages all season. I am gonna assume they wouldn't make the cider until final harvest time to be able to gauge how much extra fruit they had. So late summer. This also addresses everypony's willingness to camp out as well as their thirst.
