Hello and welcome faithful viewers or just regular passerbys. If you are not aware, I am taking a graphing math course and as such need information for one of my projects. If you could, it would be most helpful if you answered all three questions below:
1: How long have you been in the fandom?
2: On a scale from one to ten, how dedicated are you to this show?
3: How many hours per week do you spend watching or discussing this show?
It would be most helpful.

1. Roughly 2 years, joined the fandom after I stumbled upon a fanfic which drew me into the 'herd' so to speak.
2. On a scale of one to ten, I'd say five, but dedication for the community, I'd raise it to six.
3. Hard to say but, roughly 10 to 12 hours a week, give or take.

3. 6 (if you discount fan fiction, including time spent writing, it's more like 20.)
1) around 3 years now. Got bored when I was searching for a job, and i saw it on the TV guide. "Let's see what the big fuss is about."
2) 7 for the show, 9 for the community.
3) 10-12 hours of pony per week..
1. Not long after Season One ended, whenever that was.
2. I like to get pretty involved. I can't wait for Season Five and I've recently started playing the TCG.
3. About 3-5 hours if you count my writing. I haven't actually watched the show in a while.
1) Let's see. I've been in the fandom since around 2011, which is when I believe the series first aired on the Hub.
2) My dedication to MLP: FIM usually ranges around the 6 to 7 range, although since researching it for a graduate course this has probably risen to around the 8 to 9 level range lately.
3) Usually, I would say around 4 or 5 hours a week. But to the research, this is more likely around 9 or 10 hours.
1. Gosh, I think... 2 years really, one of my friends recommended I read Past Sins and that lead me here, which is when I really got into the fandom
2. Well, even if I can't watch each episode when it comes out, I record it and watch it that night, so I'd say at least seven, probably like an eight or nine for the community though.
3. Well, I'm on here a lot each night, but I also switch between some other things, but counting the time I spend writing... probably about 20 or 25... I'm in high school and don't have a job yet so I have a lot of free time.

3- I like to draw and write for this fandom, but not so much about discussing stuff. I only like the show.

3) Between the art, listening to music, and rebloging things about it on tumblr. I would saaaaaaay, a definite ten hours a week.

All scales logically fall into 1 of 2 forms:
* 0 to 1
* -1 to +1
So that one does not have to deal with values like -.826, it is customary to multiply by 10 or 100 and limit responses to integers. For preventing errors such as 1 becoming 10, or 10 becoming 1, it is goo to use scales with only single digits or only double digits with leading 0s, if necessary:
* 0 to 1
* 00 to 99
* -9 to +9
* -99 to +99

Not only is starting from 1 not mathematically sound, but it is less accurate for low values:
Let us suppose that something is very bad. A respondent only has the option to rate it 1, but feels that it deserves 0. The respondent cannot rate the option 0, so the respondent abstains from rating the bad option at all. This leads to things which are bad, but not worst crating as forst, while the worst coming in as better than bad because of odd balls who like it giving higher ratings with no counterbalancing ratings opposing these unusual likes.
¿What is wrong with your scale?:
* It starts at 1 instead of 0.
* It is a mix of single digit and double digit.
¿How to fix your scale?:
* Start at 0.
* Make it all single-digit.
Your new scale should be 0 to 9:
* 0 to 9
You can convert preswitch values to the new scale by subtracting 1, but we have 2 caveats you need to consider in you statistical analysis:
* 1s might have been accidentally written as 10s and 10s might have been accidentally written as 1s. This is why the whole scales should require the same number of digits.
* Those of the opinion that MLP:FIM deserve 0 did not rate it at all because they were loathed to give it even 1.

1) This is a graphing class. He doesn't care about the math, but more of the explanation of how you got to it as well as how you present the graph.
2) He gave me that question. My original one wasn't that good, so he suggested I change it to this.
# 1. I have been in the fandom for 2 years. I got a an heads up from “The Skeptics’ Guide To The Universe”, where it is listed as a generally proscience show with the exception of episodes written by Dave “AntiScience” Polsky. Since then, he has become Dave "ProGenocide AntiScience" Polsky. Still, the show is generally porscience, proeducation, and proskepticism.
# 2. On a scale of 0 to 9, I give the show a 7. It looses 1 point for Merriweather Williams who is a bad writer and another point for Dave “AntiScience ProGenocide” Polsky who is a cringe-worthy writer.
# 3. I spend 5 to 10 hours weekly doing MLP:FIM-FanStuff.

1) Hmm... I think it was in 2012 sometime so about two years.
2) Poorly worded, loaded question, but I'll say about a 2. I don't dedicate myself to a show, I consume it like any other medium's amusements.
3) Does that include writing? If not, 0 hours. If so, ballpark it at about 10 hours, but I'd like to be pulling more.

I have been in the fandom for two years.
Id have to say 9.
And about five hours.
1: 5 years (basically since it first aired)
2: 9 while not my entire media related life, I can easily say it tops any show I've seen in terms of dedication.
3: Watching/ discussing , about 7 hours a week. Now if you include pony related things in general (such as fanfiction, browsing art, ect) 30+ hours a week.
1: About 11 months.
2: 10/10
3: I only watch new episodes, but counting fanart, fanvideos, fanfictions, and general pony-related things i'd say around...
50 hours a week.
1. Since 27 April 2011 (mates brother introduced me to it on his Bday XD)
