Someone did a thing! 
I can't even put into words how honoured I am that my silly horsewords inspire someone to make actual horse art out of them.
For real, I was floored the first time, but to have it happen again is just... amazing.
Everyone go and follow this beautiful human being. They seem to just be starting out on deviant art, but in my totally unbiased opinion they're already off to a brilliant start!
As for the other news I mentioned:
I'm going home on leave for a few days! 
I'll be picking up my old laptop while I'm home, so I might be able to pursue some horsewords. I ain't making any promises, but with a keyboard in front of me I can make my best attempt.
I guess we'll have to wait and see. 
So yeah. People are awesome, and I might do a few words in the near future. Life is alright.

I have some oneahot ideas, a smallish multichapter fic or two (~50k words or so), and one long fic that I definitely won't have time to write for quite a while.
Lots of ideas, very little time.
oh, and maybe a bit of an epilogue to Mother of Invention. Maybe. Someday.

The interpretation is really up to the reader in the end.
This particular rendition may not be exactly what I see in my head, but it's no less correct.
If you must know (though I maintain that my mental image is no more valid than anyone's), I envision the creature as something that's more... not seen. Like staring into darkness darker than black; absolute emptiness, nothingness.
But that might not make for very interesting art.
...in short: no, but it's still cool.
I think that this is the closest thing to what the monster could ever look like. Great picture.
