This is pretty much what I imagined would happen to Fluttershy over time as she falls in love with Discord in The Chase, absorbing more and more chaos magic as the years pass and becoming more in tune with nature as a weird sort of hippo-nymph, bringing balance to Discord and becoming part of the ideal that a little chaos is good for any harmonious system to keep it healthy and in balance. This is actually what I have written in my notes shockingly enough, but the legs are all different and I gave her a dragonesque batwing. I also gave her two different ears. But the idea is close enough that it shocked me to see this picture and I nearly choked.

Fluttershy will mourn her friends when they go, but Auntie Flutters will always look after their foals.
I told you there would be deific ascension in The Chase and not everything ascended to alicorns.
It's nice when your ideas are accepted into a wider canon.

Yeah it is actually. I wanted to highlight the fact that even chaos changes over time.
It was going to start with Discord realising that he had one of Fluttershy's legs growing off of him, and she had one of his former legs growing off of her. (The goat leg) Think of it as exchanging rings during a wedding, only a lot more permanent and meaningful.
I know all of this is horribly spoilery, but... meh.
(I'm about 95% sure) I can tell just by the style that Carnifex drew that. Dude has a very distinct style.
I could totally see Fluttershy taking a bunch of animal parts into herself, so she could be more "in tune" with her animal friends.

If Discord hadn't gotten his magic back, they would have both died sometime, but then you stated he would get it back - and The Other Other confirmed it too - and become immortal again...

Yeah alicorns being the only deity level ascension is a tad overdone. There are so many other things possible out there though Discord's type is really the only other thing used it seems. I know the Past Sins universe adds a few other types and I'm toying around with something else as well. It's actually nice to see something different once and a while though that isn't to say that the alicorn style can't be done well. Keeping track of a story where a human turns into one and is isolated for thousands of years.

Discord corrupts Fluttershy with chaos, Fluttershy corrupts Discord with kindness. Eventually, their souls merge and they become a chaotic being with two bodies. Which makes Discord even more confusing as a jumble of body parts and conflicting natures.
The chaos has been doubled!

other than that i would imagine if she represented stability to chaos, she would be more symmetrical in her form. the rule of the draconequus is that they are made up of animals parts, not that they have to be in disarray like discord's parts.

There is always alicorn ascension (unicorn) and elemental evolution (fey fire spirit) If Rising Star got clever, he could use fey binding magic to tie himself partially to a concept (like say, creativity and blacksmithing) and then begin to draw power from blacksmiths and metal workers whose forges Rising Star might bless. The occasional words of thanks that the blacksmiths might say to Rising Star as they do their work would make him stronger. If, say, he had an entire nation of full of blacksmiths united under his sway, his dominion so to speak, he could become quite powerful. The more ponies and other sapient beings he had believing in him and praising him as a patron spirit, the stronger he would become. Make sense?
Rising Star is utterly oblivious to this knowledge though.

No. They both live. For a very long time. Chaos evolves and adapts to the new systems emerging in the world as the Fates wage war against their Creator. Chaos is still needed, but a kinder chaos is needed to keep things in balance. Fluttershy gets drawn in and merges with the spirit of chaos, and it absorbs her essence. There are still cruel forces of chaos in the world, like certain demonic entities, but Fluttershy and Discord work to balance those out and bring benevolent change and useful chaos to the world around them.

2541861 ......what you are describing is how i define harmony magic. dark and light, order and chaos combined in efforts to keep the light and dark from going too far. the tree of harmony being an entity of this, though not the only one, and its incredible power coming from the black and white merging.

Eventually, they begin to share a few body parts. After a while, they start to finish each other's sentences when they speak. Eventually, they touch each other so deeply that they find they cannot separate from one another.
Discord starts to be kind, and Fluttershy learns to connect to nature. Each get what they desire, Discord is truly reformed, and Fluttershy is corrupted, but not in a bad way.
