The fleet which sunk the Invincible Spanish Armada and rescued England in her hour of greatest need. It is a symbol of Drake's everyday life and it contains attributes of the story of the fire ships at Calais which sealed Spain's defeat. Also present is the anecdote of the "night of storm," which is transmitted through Europe as a tale in which devils and hellhounds are led by a hero on a mad pursuit against sinful souls. The Wild Hunt is a portent of storms, winter, and disaster for any who see it, making it an ideal metaphor for the fleet which heaped misfortune on hated invaders

The flag ship Golden Hind acts as the vanguard as Drake expands her fleet to include countless phantasmal vessels. Their sizes, speed and firepower vary, and some are fire ships, kamikaze weapons intended to explode and spread flames among an enemy's ranks. Each vessel is crewless, but responds to Drake's commands and together can unleash a bombardment capable of leveling cities.
