Just in case anyone is worried... · 2:59am Oct 15th, 2014
I'm not dead yet
Just some quick notes, to make up a little for the extreme lack of updates recently.
As far as Project Sunflower: Harmony goes, I have chapters 11 and 12 in editing. 11 is very nearly ready, and will be up by this weekend. 12 needs a bit of work, but I hope to get that up next week.
I've decided to make a bit of a change in how I publish Sunflower. Simply, I really like writing slice-of-life stuff, but it's really bogging down the story. The story so far covers less than a week. That's about 2-3 chapters per day that passes. I really want to get time moving faster, but I don't want to ignore the fluffy stuff that I love writing.
The Side Projects worked pretty well for me last time around, so I plan to do something similar for Harmony. I'm going to start putting all of the slice-of-life goodness into its own set of side stories, so I can focus more on moving the main plot line along. If there is a relevant side-story, I'll make a link to it in the Author's Notes at the bottom of the chapter. But, no worries, if you don't enjoy reading slice-of-life: the side-stories won't be necessary to understand the main story. Think of them as more like DVD extras and bonus features
In other news, I'm writing horror stories. Pony horror stories, as a matter of fact. The first one is in editing now. I have at least two others planned (one of them features Cinnamon Swirl and Plum Pudding facing a very unusual Nightmare Night!), and I want to get them done before October is up... but if I can't, then I'll just have to publish them in November.
Last, but certainly not least, DragonriderSC did up another set of pictures, this time featuring Sunny's kids from Keepers of Discord:

I absolutely adore these...
As always, thanks for reading!

Heh, the attitude in those kids though.
Happy to hear I don't need to bring out the shovel.
I'm glad you're making another side stories for the slice of life aspect. As good as your slice of life chapters are they're kinda ruined by my desire to know what was woken in the other world.
Basically this kept playing in my head while reading the last few chapters.
Again, not bad, but yah gotta pick a theme.
Hey, I love your slice of life, don't you dare completely throw it off the story! Please!
I was going to ask you something but then I got interrupted and lost my train of thought and now I don't remember what I was going to ask.
Don't write that! The last internet personality who I followed, wrote that as his very last post. And yeah we all confirmed he's (most likely) pushing up daisies.
News of your not-demise is greatly celebrated. I look forward to more, whatever form it may take.
