Hey, kiddies! BassEffect here with a little news. It appears that the next chapter of Your Human and You may be delayed. The reason? Blackie's laptop blew up and is now currently deader than a door-nail. Now, before you all get worked up, it had nothing to do with the hater who deleted his work. Not only was that the wrong computer, but it was a hardware problem.
That being said, Blackie wanted me to let you know that, even though he's has no computer at the moment, he's still going to try and work on the next chapter whenever possible. His method? Pencil and paper. He'll try and keep you all posted on what's going on, but until then, please wait patiently.

Why are things suddenly getting in the way?
If it weren't for the fact that it was a
faptoplaptop, I would've probably seen if I could help with whatever's going on (I have an MIS degree, I.E. IT tech support), but almost all laptop hardware's proprietary, which makes the individual components too much of a hassle to just replace, usually.Hopefully he gets back up and running soon!

Chromebook's are a piece of crap if you don't have WiFi at the time.
I'd have to suggest the Acer Aspire One. Or the HP 2133 for good, cheap netbooks.
I'm sorry to hear about your laptop. Well, I suppose this could be seen as an opportunity to pick up a new one. Just depends on how you want to look at it (I am, of course, relentlessly optimistic to the point of insanity).

My laptop motherboard fried on Christmas. My dad said he would fix it, because he's a computer repair guy. Fast forward TWO YEARS, still down.

That's the problem with laptops:
Laptop = bad cooling (must be light and thin) + cheapest parts (must be cheap) + planned obsolescence
Why not consider a tower PC for its easy to replace parts? You can get one on fleaBay for peanuts.

2528895 I have a laptop myself. It's one of those old blocky ones with that red rubber nub in the middle for a mouse. It's barely got enough data left to so much as download a song due to the sheer amounts of virus scanning and video game programs, caught the Trojan Horse twice, and has once fallen out a second story window to tell the tale. Since it's really survived all of that, (Aims laptop for MMtB) Come at me bro.
