I have one use for beans. Sometimes I write things that people seem to enjoy. The only uploads you're most likely to ever see from me are completed stories. Never one chapter or arc at a time.

Just so the five-or-so of you know... · 5:17am Oct 12th, 2014

Dragon Age: Origins is currently being given away for free on EA's 'Origin' service for PC.

If you haven't played this, do yourself a favor and give it a go. Dragon Age Origins is the spiritual successor to Baldur's Gate, which remains prominent as long as you DON'T play Dragon Age 2 afterwards. DA:O is a stellar example of what Bioware were like in their prime; it hit shelves just before the writers and developers of value departed from the studio which resulted in Casey Hudson assuming his true form as the pretentious anal spawn of George Lucas, effectively ruining two franchises and simultaneously destroying one of the greatest Lovecraft-inspired antagonists in both gaming and fiction; the Reapers from Mass Effect. Yeah, you feeling the chills from that flawless dialogue? Well guess what? All of that was thrown out the window in the later Mass Effect games, and Mass Effect 3 replaced it all with a heaping, steaming, disgusting pile of fly-swarmed dung.

Fuck.

Moving on, Dragon Age Origins is Bioware's single best game, and also their last masterpiece of a game, both in my humble opinion. It's definitely worth playing and it works well as a stand-alone title; I don't recommend playing Dragon Age 2 as it spoils a lot of the magic and was just an all-around bad title with terrible design philosophy at every corner.

Enjoy.
